United Medical Nursing Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility situated on the 6th and 7th floors of its parent medical complex, providing its residents with a spacious and attractive environment. The center is dedicated to offering comprehensive nursing care and a range of medical services, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, and general medical care, as well as rehabilitative and wound care management. Residents also benefit from a variety of social and therapeutic recreational activities, which are regularly scheduled to enhance the quality of life and well-being of everyone in the community. The facility is designed to support medically complex patients, providing a seamless transition from area hospitals into a nurturing environment where individualized plans of care are established and maintained over an extended period.
At United Medical Nursing Center, the care model is deeply rooted in a multidisciplinary approach to resident well-being. A resident care planning conference is organized on a routine basis for every resident, bringing together the expertise of attending physicians, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation specialists, and administrative staff. These conferences are collaborative in nature, with participation from residents and their families encouraged whenever possible. The Resident Care Coordinator or an assigned Social Worker is available to provide residents and families with information regarding upcoming care conferences and to guide them through the care process.
Each resident at United Medical Nursing Center is paired with a Social Worker who offers support and guidance throughout their stay. The Social Worker, working closely with the Resident Care Coordinator, becomes an essential member of the resident’s care team, helping to address questions, resolve concerns, and provide referrals as needed. This partnership is integral in planning a resident’s future needs, whether it involves a transfer home or a move to another facility.
Nursing services at United Medical Nursing Center are available around the clock, seven days a week, ensuring that licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants are always on hand to provide high-quality care. The commitment to delivering outstanding nursing services extends to maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for both residents and their families. Visiting hours are set from late morning through the evening, with accommodations available for after-hours visitation upon written request to the Administrator, specifically through Room 245.
The spirit of community is central to daily life at United Medical Nursing Center. Family members and friends are encouraged to contribute to the residents' experiences by volunteering their time. The Director of Therapeutic Recreation and Volunteer Services coordinates volunteer activities, with opportunities to assist in transporting residents, sponsoring parties, chaperoning excursions outside the facility, and arranging for spiritual leadership and other enriching programs. Volunteers are valued members of the community, playing a meaningful role in supporting the well-being and social engagement of every resident.
United Medical Nursing Center’s holistic approach to skilled nursing care ensures that each resident’s medical, emotional, and social needs are addressed. By providing a continuum of care that connects all aspects of health and wellness, United Medical Nursing Center strives to enable residents to achieve their highest potential for quality living in a supportive and compassionate environment.
