    About Cathedral Gerontology Center

Cathedral Gerontology Center, owned by Purple Door, LLC, has looked after seniors since 1984 by providing skilled nursing, respite care, long-term nursing, hospice, and memory care with a steady focus on health, comfort, and safety, and you'll find the staff on hand at all times, offering regular 12-16 hour nursing with 24-hour supervision, as well as extra support like medication help, bathing, dressing, and transfers if someone needs it, so nobody's left waiting when there's a need, and the resident council and family council help keep everyone's concerns organized and heard. The place runs with a sense of home, offering private rooms with cable TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, furnished kitchens, and private bathrooms, letting residents feel comfortable and settled, while daily activities fill the calendar with things like movie nights, games, crafts, fitness, outdoor walks, and garden time, plus special events and therapies to keep minds and bodies active. Residents get three meals a day, planned by a professional chef, and the staff make sure to handle special diets, allergies, and diabetes needs, so meals aren't a worry for anyone, and housekeeping, laundry, and move-in help all take the pressure off families. The Center offers counseling, Bible study, and family support services, and makes time for social and emotional care, believing these matter just as much as medical support, whether someone's in short-term rehab, facing memory challenges, or needs gentle palliative or hospice care. Safety drills happen on a schedule, staff keep a close eye with a 24-hour call system, and everything from walking paths to outdoor courtyards to game and activity rooms work together to keep the place inviting and lively, not gloomy. They accept Medicare and Medicaid, and as of June 2025, they had 15 out of 120 beds available, so they're not overflowing and can pay attention to the people living there. With attention to restoring independence, holistic care, and plenty of family involvement, Cathedral Gerontology Center tries to give every resident a good place to live, and the main thing is they focus on compassionate, reliable care in a way that feels genuine and steady, guided by long-standing professional experience and a clear sense of purpose.
