    Neglectful unsanitary unsafe nursing home

I placed my mom here and it was a nightmare. Ms. Patricia and a couple admission nurses were compassionate, but most staff ignored call lights, were on phones, and were inconsistent. My mother was left wet, smelly and not properly bathed; rooms and halls reeked of urine masked with air fresheners, diapers stayed sopping, and I saw rust, mold, roaches and broken beds/toilets. Food was terrible (they even served nuts despite an allergy), meds were missed or wrong, rehab/transport were unreliable, and billing/management were unresponsive - I was told the facility is under investigation. A few caring staff helped and my husband showed some improvement, but overall I would not recommend; the place needs to be shut down or completely overhauled.

    About Fulton Center For Rehabilitation

Fulton Center For Rehabilitation opened in 2018 and sits in Atlanta, GA, offering care for people who need skilled nursing or rehab after injury or illness, and the building's got about 109 certified beds that help patients who need to stay for a bit because they just got out of the hospital or they're facing health problems like stroke, diabetes, kidney disease, wounds, or need help with bariatric care or palliative and hospice support. Skilled nurses are around all day and night, providing wound care, help with medication, and keeping an eye on diabetic needs, while the care team puts together plans for each patient, so folks get what they need to heal or manage conditions safely, which is important because many people are working to get their strength back and eventually return home if possible, and since the staff are known for being patient and helpful they really do their best to make daily life easier and comfortable. People often say it's an upscale place with nice dining and rooms, and there's a feeling that the place is not just secure but also feels welcoming, which can help someone who needs time and support while they recover, and with rooms for inpatient care, folks receive constant health attention and help with daily tasks. Prospective residents and families can take a tour of the facility to get a sense of its atmosphere, and there's information available for those wondering about admissions or needing more details on rehabilitation or health programs. The rehab services cover a lot of ground, from helping people after surgeries or injuries to supporting complex conditions, and the entire team-including therapy staff and nursing professionals-works together using plans made just for each person. Amenity-wise, there's comfortable spaces for both living and dining, and efforts are made to have the environment help patients feel a bit more at home during recovery. The facility maintains infection prevention programs and took steps for Covid-19 safety, but it's important to note that there've been past deficiencies, including resident rights on documentation and notifications (F0628) and a problem with infection control procedures (F0880), though steps have been taken to improve processes. Policies support residents' rights, including how they get notified about important changes, appeal rights, and bed-hold details, and the staff keeps a focus on giving consistent, patient-centered care for all needs, so while the facility does have some high points, there are also oversight areas they continue working to address.
