    About Marquis Silver Gardens

Marquis Silver Gardens sits on the banks of Silver Creek and offers a peaceful place for seniors who need skilled nursing care, long-term care, rehabilitation, respite care, or memory care services, and with the 52 beds you'll find both semi-private rooms and three-bedroom options that let folks have some privacy but also connect with neighbors if they want, and there are private bathrooms, air conditioning, cable, phone, kitchenettes, and Wi-Fi in rooms, which is nice when you want some quiet time. The place isn't too big or too small, with about 28 residents at a time, so you're more likely to see familiar faces each day and the staff really tries to make care feel personal rather than one-size-fits-all, with licensed caregivers and nurses helping with medication management, bathing, dressing, and other daily tasks every day, and there's round-the-clock supervision, 12-16 hours of nursing care onsite, and a call system for emergencies, so don't worry about being alone if you need help at night. Folks can use the community dining room for chef-prepared restaurant-style meals, with choices for special diets like diabetes, and they serve meals pretty much all day, which is handy if you wake up late or like to eat early; families get some support, too, and there are councils for residents and family members to share ideas and concerns.

The facility hosts a good number of daily and planned activities, with both community programs and activities run by residents themselves, so there's always something to keep busy with, whether it's movie nights, art in the activity rooms, games in the game room, or just reading in the library, and you might see people heading out on planned day trips, visiting the garden, attending music programs, or joining wellness and fitness classes in the gym. There's a beauty salon, a sauna, computer centers, a theater room, and little outdoor walking paths, so if you like being outside, there's plenty of green space-with the garden and the creek nearby, it stays calm and quiet outdoors. Transportation and parking make it easier to get to appointments or shopping, and the staff helps arrange rides for non-medical trips, too, which makes things a bit easier for folks who don't drive anymore.

Safety is a priority, with the whole place fully sprinklered, and the staff follows medical standards closely by doing regular health assessments, monitoring pressure sores, tracking pain and infections, and making sure pharmacy rules are followed to prevent medication mistakes. Marquis Silver Gardens works with Medicare and Medicaid, and as a for-profit care provider that's not attached to a hospital or a continuing care retirement community, it focuses more on those needing skilled care in a smaller setting than some of the larger facilities around. They make sure residents get flu and pneumonia shots in season and offer memory-enhancing programs and secure spaces for people with Alzheimer's or dementia. Housekeeping, meals, and laundry are taken care of by the staff, and move-in help is available for new residents who might need a hand settling in.

You'll see people coming together in the shared lounges and gardens, but there's also plenty of ways to keep things quiet and go at your own pace, which some folks prefer. The staff to resident ratio includes 0.97 RN hours, 0.3 LPN hours, and 2.74 CNA hours per resident, and the place is always working to meet professional care standards while offering a more relaxed, neighborly style of living.
