    Good care but poor communication

I live at Lindan Park and overall the care is good - nurses try hard, rehab/nursing/activities are excellent, staff are welcoming and attentive, admissions and admin were gracious, meals (especially weekends) are tasty, and the place feels home-like with enjoyable musical programs. Care-team meetings are informative, my semi-private room has ample space, it's close to family, and VA benefits were handled. My complaints: chart documentation problems (from a prior facility) and generally poor communication - the administrator is hard to reach, Medicaid approval was an issue, laundry was delayed before being fixed. Biggest frustration: a denied compassion refund and my prepaid November wasn't refunded; otherwise cleanliness and responsiveness are good.

    About Lindan Park Rehabilitation Center

Lindan Park Rehabilitation Center sits as a senior living community with several levels of care, so folks can find independent living, assisted living help, or full medical and skilled nursing services all in one place, and what stands out about Lindan Park is how it pays close attention to residents living with Alzheimer's and dementia by providing memory care in secure areas with memory-enhancing activities, special programs, and 24-hour support. The facility gives people help with daily needs such as bathing, dressing, medication management, cooking and cleaning, and they've got a team of medical staff who can provide round-the-clock care, pain management, wound care, and restorative therapy when medical issues come up or during recovery periods, and for people who need short stays while caregivers take a break, they offer respite care. Private and semi-private rooms come furnished, fitted with cable TV, WiFi, phone access, air conditioning, and private bathrooms or kitchenettes depending on the unit, and residents get meals each day that can be tailored for allergies, diabetes, or other dietary restrictions, all prepared under the eye of a professional chef in a restaurant-style dining room. The community has a busy schedule with both staff-led and resident-run activities, day trips, regular social events, games, arts, and a mental wellness program, and spaces include a movie theater, activity and arts rooms, a library, a computer center, fitness and gaming rooms, a full-service beauty salon, a garden and outdoor courtyard, and walking paths. There's a therapy gym for rehabilitation and specialized therapy sessions, plus services like laundry, housekeeping, transportation for errands and medical needs, and parking. Nursing staff cover between 12 and 16 hours a day with additional 24-hour supervision and an emergency call system, and for folks with higher needs, skilled nursing staff and a comprehensive range of therapies are always nearby. Lindan Park is a for-profit corporation with 65 certified beds opening as of June 2025, and they accept Medicare and Medicaid, which helps make care accessible for more families, plus there's a resident and family council to ensure everyone has a voice in how the community's run. The management team keeps a close watch to make sure care stays personal and respectful, and the environment's designed to help people feel safe, cared for, and able to enjoy each day, and if you take a walk through, you'll likely see people chatting in the courtyard, trying out a new activity, or just having a quiet cup of tea in one of the lounges, which says a lot about how they're focused on health, comfort, and feeling at home.
