Meridian Care sits at 7181 Crestway Rd, in the Windcrest area of San Antonio, pretty close to downtown River Walk and the airport, and right near hospitals, doctors, and other support services, which is handy for families coming by or appointments. The facility has a skilled nursing and rehabilitation focus, with both long-term and short-term residents, and people get their own personalized plans that help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, and getting around. Folks who need more help can find things like ventilator and respiratory care, an Elite Transitional Care Unit, pulmonary rehab, and specialized wound care. There's a brand new in-house dialysis center, which means residents don't have to leave for treatments and can stay comfortable in familiar surroundings. Meridian Care handles pediatric care too and accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay. The community provides therapies like speech language pathology, nutritional therapy, respiratory services, non-ambulatory care, and help with transfers. There's medication management and 12 to 16 hour skilled nursing care each day, plus a 24-hour call system for emergencies. For entertainment and relaxation, residents have use of activity rooms, a movie theater, a library, a fitness center, a spa/sauna, arts and game rooms, garden and walking paths, plus several community activities and music programs for all to join. Transportation and parking are for residents, but there's no parking for visitors.
