    Warm caring staff; excellent programs

My mother lives here and overall I'm very pleased - the staff are warm, attentive and caring, activities run every day (baking, gardening, socials, outings), meals are generally excellent, and the community is clean, cozy and well-maintained. Communication is good (Zoom family updates, activity app with photos) and they offer 24-hour care and a clear continuum from independent to memory care. Downsides: pricing is high, rooms can be small, and we've had occasional laundry/missing-item issues (hearing aids, dentures, clothing) plus rare delays or rude interactions at night. Despite that, the caring staff, strong programs and overall atmosphere make this a place I'd recommend.

    About Meadowbrook of Agoura Hills

Meadowbrook of Agoura Hills sits in a two-story building filled with natural light and easy access to pretty courtyards and patios, and folks can walk safely along paths or catch up with friends in cozy lounges, a movie theater, the game room, or even over a meal in the Bistro & Bar with happy hour. The place has independent living if someone wants an active lifestyle without the fuss, and assisted living for those who need a hand with things like bathing, dressing, or remembering to take their medicine, and the staff is always there around the clock if help is needed, with doctors on call and nurses right on site. There's also memory care in a carefully monitored part of the community for seniors living with Alzheimer's and dementia, with extra safety features to help keep everyone comfortable and secure, plus hospice services if a resident needs end-of-life care. Residents choose from studio, one-bedroom, or friendship suites, all designed to fit different needs and budgets, and the place feels calm and relaxed, fitting in well with the local area. Meadowbrook welcomes both men and women, but if a woman wants to live only with other women, that's an option, and the community is pet-friendly, so furry companions can move in too.

Meals are included every day, fresh and prepared by a chef, and there's a rotating menu along with snacks, coffee, and tea, plus private dining if someone wants to celebrate or just have a quiet meal. The community creates programs to fit every interest-book clubs, games, music, arts and crafts, classes, gardening, and all sorts of social events meant to get people together and laughing, with fitness classes, an exercise studio, and scheduled transportation for appointments or trips further afield. Safety is a priority, with smoke-free indoor areas, handicap accessible spaces, Wi-Fi, and monitoring for peace of mind. Memory care is personalized and activities are planned to spark joy and connection each day, from gardening in the secured courtyards to enjoying a book in the private library or listening to the piano in the lounge. There's an on-site salon for haircuts, a nail salon, a beauty shop, and help with laundry and housekeeping as needed, and grocery delivery is available too. Spiritual needs are met by onsite and offsite devotional services, and there are both indoor and outdoor meeting spaces for residents.

Meadowbrook offers short-term stays for people recovering from illness or families needing respite, and home care services are available too, where aides visit to help with non-medical needs. The staff prides themselves on treating every resident with dignity and kindness, always aiming to support independence, choice, and a sense of belonging. Awards have come in for their meals and the friendly way they take care of people, and the facility has been checked and licensed by review agencies with tours available for people who want to see what day-to-day life is like before moving in. With plenty of floor plans and extras like housekeeping and concierge-style help, Meadowbrook tries to give seniors more time and comfort, letting them enjoy good company, good meals, and a safe place to call home.
