    Warm attentive caregivers, supportive management

I'm very pleased - warm, attentive caregivers and supportive management kept my mother thriving for 2½ years: private, safe rooms, very good food, lots of activities (exercise, bingo, outings, live entertainment, Sunday church), and proactive family communication with staff who go above and beyond. It's a smaller, homey place, but expect occasional minor cleaning/maintenance lapses, mixed memory-care experiences, and a cost around $4,000/month.

Health services include 12-16 hours of nursing care and supervision, plus help with things like bathing, dressing, getting around, cooking special meals for allergies or diabetes, and making sure medicine's taken on time, and they do keep a staff around full time.

There are planned social events and scheduled activities every day, and there are places to enjoy like a movie theater, library, garden, and fitness room, and you get transportation services if you need to get out and about, which is handy if you don't drive anymore. Folks who stay here get to join art and music rooms, game rooms, and weekly outings, so there are chances to stay active, and there's an emphasis on keeping up hobbies and finding things to enjoy. Meals are provided, with special diet options available, and the staff aims to support everyone's personal choices the best they can, trying to let folks keep their dignity and sense of self in a warm and safe place. Amenities like full-service dining, walking paths, and a call system for emergencies add comfort and security, and the management focuses on making sure the environment is supportive, affordable, and friendly. Hallmark Of Bakersfield holds a license from the state of California (License #157209304), and the staff works to match their care to each person, ensuring people get the help they need while enjoying a secure and lively retirement community.
