    Home-like but poor fall supervision

    I placed my parent at Little Brook Care Homes in Fair Oaks and overall it felt home-like, well-kept, with friendly, compassionate staff (Andrea, Mary and owner Giulia included), good food, mobility and dietary accommodations, and responsive night caregivers - my family felt they were treated like family. That said, my mom, who was unpredictably mobile, fell and suffered a bad head injury; bedrooms can be far from care stations and supervision wasn't enough for high-fall risk residents. I recommend Little Brook for many seniors but caution against placing someone with frequent wandering or severe mobility issues there.
