    Caring skilled staff, cozy home

I placed my parent here because the caregivers are genuinely caring, skilled and attentive - they help with showers and meds and even stayed with my parent through the night. The owner/director are warm and easy to work with, the six-resident home is spotless, wheelchair-accessible, and has a cozy communal dining area plus porch/backyard. That said, the facility needs some cosmetic upkeep (front yard, kitchen nook) and could use minor remodeling.

About Camino Ramon Home for Seniors

Camino Ramon Home for Seniors in Danville, California, used to provide assisted living and home health care services for older adults who needed some extra help, and the home was known for its compassionate and kind caregivers, along with a warmhearted owner who really cared about the people living there, and the residents could get hospice care when they needed it, too, and you could always sense that family-style feeling in the place. The building itself was a single-story, single-family residence built in 1979, spread over 2,438 square feet, with concrete and wood framing, a shingle roof, a fenced yard on a pretty big 0.35-acre lot, and plenty of natural light filtering inside thanks to the wide, open layout; all this made it bright almost all the time, which was nice, and it always felt airy and spacious when walking through. Residents could move around in wheelchairs pretty easily inside and in the backyard, since the whole property was made to be accessible, and there was a back porch, paved paths, a gazebo, and quiet sitting areas outside for some peace and relaxation whenever anyone wanted fresh air. The home had a renovated kitchen with high-end appliances and sleek cabinetry, newly installed hardwood floors, and a comfortable living room with a fireplace that made the evenings feel cozy during cooler weather. There were several bathrooms, a full bathroom and a half bathroom right on the ground floor, so moving between rooms was safe and simple for everyone, and everyone used to eat together around one big dining table, which made mealtimes feel more like being with a family than in a facility. Parking was always easy since there was an attached garage for two cars and even a carport with at least one extra spot. The backyard was peaceful and park-like, with enough space for a gazebo, and paths to stroll around or sit and enjoy the open sky. The place didn't allow pets, and everything was done to prioritize residents' comfort, with simple routines and on-site services focused on a hassle-free lifestyle. Before it closed, the home had a state license number 075600088 and offered scheduled tours for families, so people could see and understand the environment before choosing it. The starting rate for assisted living care was $4,500. This home is now permanently closed, doesn't provide any care or services, and isn't taking new residents anymore.
