    Small home-like house, caring staff

I felt my loved one was well-treated in a small, clean, home-like house with friendly, caring staff and good, plentiful food. Caregivers were competent, accommodating and informative (though not always the regular staff) and the owners clearly care. Daytime staffing is thin, so activities are limited, residents sleep a lot and reception is poor, but staff do try to engage with word puzzles.

    About Woodridge Place

Woodridge Place offers a range of services for seniors who want to feel at home while knowing help is always nearby, and you'll find staff around day and night to help with everyday tasks, medication, or getting around safely-especially for folks with memory concerns. The place organizes plenty of social activities and trips out into the community, so you don't have to give up seeing new places or enjoying leisure time with friends, and with scheduled transportation and parking available, it's easier to get to appointments and errands without worrying about the drive. Woodridge Place runs on a social model of care, meaning people keep as much independence as possible, but staff help with anything from bathing and dressing to medication and special diets like diabetic or allergy-sensitive meals, and people can bring their pets along, though there are some rules about where smoking's allowed indoors. The community offers apartments and different room styles, including private and semi-private choices so everyone can find something that feels right, and all the living spaces have emergency alert systems in case someone needs quick help.

You'll find comforts like on-site hair salons for grooming, full tubs for relaxing baths, laundry and housekeeping, and a dining room that's open all day long, where meals are cooked for you and supervised to make sure they're healthy, as well as community spaces both indoors for gatherings and outside with walking paths and gardens for fresh air. The place has a secure memory care section with its own building, using alarms and bracelets to keep residents with Alzheimer's or dementia safe from wandering, and there are programs made just for memory care so people stay active and engaged without confusion. Nurses and healthcare workers handle medication management, health checks, and even insulin injections for those with diabetes while coordinating with outside providers to make sure needs are met, and therapists in physical, occupational, and speech work with residents who could use extra support.

If someone needs more care, Woodridge Place offers high-acuity and non-ambulatory care for folks who need wheelchairs or more support, incontinence care with reminders or help as needed, and even behavioral care for residents who might have trouble controlling actions or are at risk of trying to leave the community. The team handles daily living support, memory care, hospice, and respite stays, all designed so people can stay even if their health needs change, and move-in coordination is available to help smooth the transition. Amenities include common areas with phones and furnishings, activities onsite and offsite like movie nights, arts and crafts, or group exercise to keep the social calendar packed, and there's staff ready 24 hours a day if someone needs help fast. Recognized with a 4.0-star rating and described as excellent, Woodridge Place focuses on comfort, security, and helping each resident live as fully as possible, and the warm environment encourages friendships between residents and staff.
