Villa Hemet is a residential community for seniors, built in 1973, where people can find one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments arranged in a garden style, each with about 658 square feet, central air and heat, assigned covered parking, and pet-friendly policies, including a large dog park where dogs have plenty of room to play, and plenty of greenbelts throughout so you can walk or sit outside if you want some fresh air. The apartments are part of an apartment complex, so folks get the typical features of apartment living, and there's a gated entry for extra security, landscaped common areas, and a clubhouse where residents can lounge or socialize. Villa Hemet offers a comfortable and supportive place for seniors to live, with specialized care types to support people who need assisted living or have memory impairments, and there are amenities meant to help with independence, social interaction, and recreation. Care services are adjusted to fit each resident's needs, so people can get extra support if needed, though there aren't detailed lists of every program or amenity. Villa Hemet aims to provide comfort and convenience, with a simple setup that covers basic needs while letting people keep some independence.
Friendly, clean community; management issues
I've lived here and appreciate the friendly, quiet community, clean apartments, landscaped grounds and no utilities charge - maintenance is excellent. Weekly activities (Friday bingo, Taco Tuesday) and a manager who brought joy, kept meetings in order and helped residents connect made me feel young again, though when she's absent things get chaotic and we've also had a rude/racist manager who wasn't held accountable. Downsides: the clubhouse is often closed and gates have at times been left open, but overall caring people and great maintenance keep this a good home.
