    Warm attentive small homelike care

I placed my mom at Twin Oaks and she loves it - the small, homelike setting was perfect for her. The staff (Tami and team) are experienced, warm and attentive, with low turnover and a high caregiver-resident ratio that delivers excellent one-on-one care, personal follow-through, and smooth coordination with in-home nurses/therapists; the place is very clean, has nutritious meals, plenty of activities, beautiful grounds and extended visiting hours. Downsides: limited rooms, pricy, it's not an assisted-living/rehab facility, and the location was a bit far for us.

    About Twin Oaks Guest Home

Twin Oaks Guest Home is a welcoming residential care home designed to offer seniors a genuine sense of belonging and comfort. Rather than simply striving for a "home-like atmosphere," this community boldly claims to be a true home for its residents, providing a warm and nurturing environment where each individual is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. The comfortable layout of the house includes private and communal living areas, creating an inviting space that supports both privacy and social engagement. The tranquil neighborhood setting adds to the sense of security and peace, allowing residents to relax and enjoy daily life without the stresses associated with living alone.

The care provided at Twin Oaks Guest Home is highly personalized, with experienced staff attentive to each resident’s individual needs. The home is intentionally intimate, offering accommodations for a maximum of six residents, which fosters close relationships and ensures that everyone receives focused attention, support, and assistance. The staff places a strong emphasis on treating all residents as part of the family, encouraging independence where possible while also delivering help with daily living activities as needed.

Daily life at Twin Oaks Guest Home features regular activities designed to encourage both physical and mental wellness. The caregivers and staff strive to create meaningful routines, making mealtimes a communal affair with home-cooked food served in a setting that encourages conversation, choice, and enjoyment. Opportunities for participation and small decisions throughout the day help residents preserve their dignity and maintain a positive sense of self. Prior to the onset of public health restrictions, residents also enjoyed weekly excursions out into the community, including outings for shopping and treats like ice cream cones, adding variety and connection to the local area to daily life.

Within Twin Oaks Guest Home, the smaller number of residents allows for strong bonds and friendships to develop, reducing isolation and fostering a genuine sense of family. The staff, notably led by Tami, provides 24-hour attention in order to ensure the safety and security of everyone in the home. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, often centered around shared moments in the living room or dining area—the heart of the home where residents gather, converse, and make new memories together.

At the core of Twin Oaks Guest Home is a mission to provide the finest assisted living experience possible. Residents and their families can have peace of mind, knowing that every effort is made to deliver high-quality care in a setting that genuinely feels like home. The philosophy of the home is evident in every detail, from the patience and warmth of the caregivers to the thoughtful planning of daily activities, all aimed at supporting resident well-being and happiness.
