Westmont Living offers a variety of senior living options in communities across California and Oregon, which include Active Adult, Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, and you'll also find skilled nursing and continuing care retirement options in some locations, and they call some programs and services by specific names like Live Your Way®, Dine Your Way, and Compass Rose®, so residents can pick what fits their needs best, and you'll see that the different Westmont facilities such as Westmont of La Mesa, Westmont of Brentwood, and others, all focus on creating comfortable spaces, both inside and outdoors, that help folks relax and stay healthy, and they design their buildings and gardens to help people keep doing what they enjoy or maybe pick up something new if they like. Westmont Living provides assisted living, where seniors get help with everyday tasks like meals, medication, and personal care, and there's skilled nursing if someone needs round-the-clock medical attention, plus rehabilitation and wound care, and for people who live with Alzheimer's or dementia, there are memory care units with secure environments, 24-hour support, special activities, and dedicated staff, and they've got respite care too, so caregivers can take short breaks. Residents often live as independently as they want, with help as needed, and the community includes board and care homes in some neighborhoods for smaller groups who want more personal daily attention. Amenities cover things like community spaces, social and recreational programs, wellness activities, and meal options, and there are resident login resources, and Westmont Living has a personalized approach where care plans match what each person needs, like Compass Rose® for memory programs. They even have unique art and painting supplies on hand, with everything from brushes-like Series 7 Kolinsky-to graphic markers and various art sets, along with specialized canvases and different types of art paper and supplies, which you might find as part of their social and creative activity programs. Westmont Living also handles construction, remodeling, and improvements for their properties, with active permits for projects like Casa El Dorado Hills Senior Living and Westmont at El Dorado Hills, making sure the facilities stay up-to-date and welcoming for everyone. Everything aims to make life easier, safer, and more fulfilling for seniors, helping each person get support that fits them, whether they live more independently or need daily medical care, and the communities are designed to encourage people to socialize, join activities, and enjoy both quiet time and group events.
Great community but inconsistent care
I've had a mixed experience. The building, bright apartments, amenities and social activities are outstanding and several staff (Suzanna, Sandie, Rhiannon, Anne Marie and team) were warm, knowledgeable and truly caring - I made friends and felt a renewed zest for life. But management, communication and staffing are inconsistent: high turnover, poor follow-up, understaffing that left residents unattended, variable food quality, and surprising extra charges/billing issues. Great place for community and facilities, but be cautious if you need reliable care and transparent administration.
