    Caring, responsive staff; spotless facility

I placed my mom here and couldn't be happier. The caring, responsive staff (Mark and the owner included) run a spotless, home-like, safe facility that coordinates meds, doctor visits and hospice so I'm worry-free. They nursed my mom back to health, even got her off insulin after 30 years, and the nutritious, accommodating meals (rice soup for my Chinese mom) were excellent - highly recommend.

    About Respit Manor Senior Living

Respit Manor Senior Living has small, clean residential care homes offering assisted living, memory care, nursing home, independent living, skilled nursing, and home care services, and you'll find these places are set up to feel welcoming and homelike, not like a big institution, and folks say the houses at both the Lake Forest and Mission Viejo locations look very nice and well-kept. Residents get to choose from different room layouts, including studios, private, and semi-private options, and you'll notice everything is easy to move around in with safety features, handrails, and sprinkler systems throughout. Staff and caregivers have a good reputation for being professional, friendly, and attentive, and the owner's a nurse who really understands the needs of seniors and is involved in running things. Both facilities get a 10/10 rating, so families often feel comfortable knowing that loved ones get careful, thoughtful support at any hour, with awake night staff around. The homes only have six residents each, which makes for a high caregiver-to-resident ratio, and that means everyone gets a more personal touch, with custom care plans for each person's needs.

You'll see services covering meal preparation with home-cooked, nutritious food, medication management, help with personal care and bathing, wound care, podiatry, nurses, and even in-home doctor visits to handle regular medical needs and make sure people have help managing their medicine. Residents keep busy if they want, with arts and crafts, group activities, fitness, education programs, as well as social events, or they can have quiet time in their own rooms; there's cable TV, WiFi, and access to a salon for grooming, and transportation to medical appointments can be arranged as needed. Families like the all-inclusive approach since costs cover everything from meals and activities to laundry, cleaning, and basic maintenance, so there are no surprises. Seniors can age in place as their needs change, whether that's memory care, help with activities, or more advanced nursing assistance, and the staff really try to help folks keep their dignity and independence. The atmosphere is designed to be more like home than a hospital, and relationships between residents and caregivers matter, and the staff work to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and happy.

The Lake Forest facility is at 23255 Respit Drive, Lake Forest, CA 92630, and the Mission Viejo home is at 23412 Via Guadix, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, both in quiet residential neighborhoods. Facilities are clean and well-maintained, with housekeeping and laundry provided, kitchens or kitchenettes, and options for different room types and prices, so families need to ask about current availability and what works for them. Both locations encourage families to visit, talk to other residents, ask questions, and find out if the care matches what's needed. There are no details about any special names for rooms or programs beyond what's listed, but everything's focused on comfort, safety, and straightforward, hands-on care.
