Long Beach Healthcare Center serves people aged 55 and up as a continuing care facility, and you'll find they offer different levels of care like independent living, assisted living, memory care, care homes, respite care, and nursing home services. They have a PACE Center and are linked to the OneCare program, so folks can access benefits through these programs across their community. You can walk through and see the spaces, which are clean and well-organized, and staff keep the place tidy while nurses and therapists are always present. Nurses look after people kindly and offer medical care that covers things like diabetic care, IV therapy, a respiratory program, and an aggressive wound care program, and the therapy team handles both occupational therapy and physical therapy for folks who need to recover or keep their strength up. Pain management groups are available, along with help for diabetic care management and a strong focus on using medical equipment as needed. Residents take part in daily activities and special programs designed to offer some fulfillment and stability, and the people who work here try to act with servant leadership, which means they focus on giving respectful, compassionate care in every area, whether it's helping with rehabilitation, managing medicines, or just taking time to talk and listen. Through all of this, Long Beach Healthcare Center aims to provide a sense of well-being and support to its community members.

Neglectful, unsafe care; poor communication
I entrusted my father to this facility and regret it. Staff were often unhelpful, inattentive, and disorganized - meds were mishandled (an emotional nurse gave many pills at once), there was a near-death incident, and something went wrong that preceded my father's death. The building felt crowded, dirty and smelled unpleasant, with missing/soiled clothing, food safety lapses, and a real theft risk. Communication was poor (unresponsive social worker, long hold times, botched transfers) and nursing care felt neglectful and unsafe. A few therapists and some staff were kind and professional, but overall I would not send a loved one here.
