    Caring attentive staff, happy mom

I chose this memory-care home for my mom and I'm so glad I did. The staff - led by Ilona and Tamika - are genuinely caring, patient and attentive, know residents by name, and give lots of one-on-one, dignified care. The facility is clean, home-like and secure with outdoor access, engaging activities, healthy home-cooked meals and clear daily communication; Mom's happier and safer here. I highly recommend this team.

About Senior Care Villa of Loomis

Senior Care Villa of Loomis is a senior living community at 3400 Chisom Trail in Loomis, California, sitting on a two-acre property surrounded by redwood trees, a creek, and even a duck pond, which gives it a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The community holds a state license (#315003016) and offers 27 one-story units, keeping things on the smaller side so that everyone can get to know each other. Residents receive help with daily needs like showering, dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, hygiene, and transfers. The staff can also assist with medication management, diabetic care (including blood sugar checks and insulin shots), behavioral health services, and incontinence care. There's a 24-hour call system and awake supervision, so help is always close at hand.

Senior Care Villa of Loomis focuses on two main types of care-assisted living and memory care. They support seniors who need help with daily tasks as well as those facing Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. Their memory care unit is purpose-built, separate from the rest of the community, with locked doors, alarms, security bracelets, and a special wander protection system to keep memory care residents safe. Staff members receive extra training on dementia and Alzheimer's care and can provide help for residents with major behavior issues, using personal care plans and structured programs to manage symptoms and promote a better quality of life.

Residents participate in daily activities such as music therapy, animal visits, tabletop games, concerts, crafts, outdoor trips, and intergenerational projects, and there are plenty of movie nights, book room gatherings, and resident-led activities. Everyone gets three home-cooked meals a day, with menus that can change for people who have conditions like diabetes, celiac, or food allergies. There are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free options, and the kitchen is set up so residents can smell and sometimes even help with meals, which can help keep their appetite healthy. There's also a mobile hairdresser, a salon spa, manicure services, a jacuzzi, sauna, and library, plus outdoor walking paths, gardens, and areas where residents can enjoy time outside.

The Villa can give short-term respite care, hospice care, help with transportation to doctors, shopping, and spiritual services, plus therapy and rehabilitation if needed. Residents can remain at Senior Care Villa even if care needs grow over time, moving between different service levels without having to leave the community. There's a strong sense of values-courage, integrity, respect, and loving care guide the staff, who promote independence and treat everyone with dignity and kindness. Pets may be allowed-residents might get to keep a dog or cat. Senior Care Villa of Loomis is known for being extremely clean, ranking in the top 4% for cleanliness among similar communities. Floor plans are available, and the Villa places a special focus on memory care, even working with the Alzheimer's Association to develop their programs. The goal is to keep everyone safe, active, social, and feeling at home, with routines built around each resident's interests, abilities, and history.
