Alexandria Care Center sits in a single-story building with a calm and welcoming feel, offering both nursing home care and memory care services. The place works to meet the needs of residents dealing with memory loss, Alzheimer's, or dementia by providing a secured unit that includes 24/7 supervised care, a 3 to 1 staff-resident ratio, and daily activities meant to help with memory. The care center accepts Medicaid and has served Armenian and Korean residents for over 15 years, showing a focus on their unique needs. Residents spend time in lounge areas, out on the garden and courtyard, or in the dining rooms, and there's a rehabilitation gym for those needing therapy after illness, injury, or surgery. The support team includes licensed nursing staff, therapists, psychosocial support, a recreation specialist, and skilled rehabilitation staff, all working together to help each person recover and feel their best. Amenities include daily meals with three nutritious options plus snacks, salon and barber services, housekeeping, laundry, and pharmaceutical help, which all help take care of daily living. Alexandria Care Center blends medical technology with recovery plans made for each person, making sure everyone gets the attention and support they require. The community values emotional well-being and works to build a warm atmosphere where residents and their families feel at home. Visitors can take tours and come anytime during visiting hours, and there are postcard greetings to help keep connections strong. Even though sometimes the front desk goes unattended for 15 minutes, overall, the staff remains focused on compassionate, high-quality care in a peaceful setting.

Caring staff but poor communication
My experience was mixed. I found many staff-especially CNAs like Matthew and Sara-bright, kind, and caring, the rooms and facility generally clean, and PT very helpful for recovery. But communication was poor: phones take forever, calls are sometimes hung up, staff are hard to reach, and meds/cleaning were occasionally delayed. Meals were inconsistent (breakfast poor, lunch/dinner adequate but repetitive), and I noticed understaffing, some neglectful incidents, visitation/notification problems, and parking/location issues. Overall, helpful and competent caregivers but serious operational and communication problems make me hesitant to fully recommend.
