    Clean facility but terrible dining

I found the facility clean, bright and cozy with many happy residents and some genuinely caring staff, but my experience was marred by terrible dining - flies, old-looking food served on paper plates, unfriendly dining staff and awful cereal - plus no central AC, loud room units, a broken in-room fridge, no resident computers, and management I don't trust. At about $3,000/month, I cannot recommend placing a loved one here.

    About Beverly Hills Loving Care

Beverly Hills Loving Care sits at 1019 S Wooster St in Los Angeles and offers a big, two-story senior care center that includes independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and a memory care program called Evergreen for people with dementia and Alzheimer's. The place puts a strong focus on memory care, using personalized plans for each resident and making sure staff know how to help folks with memory problems, and they've got areas and activities just for memory care, like arts, crafts, and programs meant to keep people social, active, and mentally engaged. You'll find a lot of safety features like sprinkler systems, intercoms, and handicap access across the building, and there are outdoor patios, walking paths, and sitting rooms with big televisions, so people always have some space to relax or join in activities. There's a fitness room, spa, game room, and salon/barbershop on-site, with services such as in-home hair stylists, manicurists, and even podiatry visits coming right to residents' rooms, and when it comes to meals the staff and planners make fresh food daily, tailoring meals so everyone gets good, healthy options, plus the weekly menu rotates to keep things interesting. The center tries to keep a friendly, helpful feel, and staff stay kind and welcoming, so people feel at home and connected, which matters a lot because there's a big emphasis on a culture of friendliness across all levels of care. Bedrooms are spacious, with big closets, space for personal things, phone service, and storage, and the property has studio apartments and several room choices based on care needs, which also affects the pricing. Housekeeping, washing, and maintenance happen every day, and the team helps with bathing, dressing, walking or wheelchair use, and taking medicines-there's even pharmacy support and medication reminders, and hospice care is available to make pain and discomfort easier near the end of life. Residents have access to services for doctors' appointments, plus transportation services and a guest parking area, so family and friends can visit easily, and they're close to healthcare like Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center and many local doctors and pharmacies. Activities include music programs, movie nights, health and wellness events, education, and outings, with a community calendar full of events like Sunshine Social and other group gatherings, and there are special programs geared toward folks with cognitive challenges, including members of the Iranian Jewish community. Amenities span wifi, cable TV, kitchens or kitchenettes in some rooms, washer-dryers, and secure features throughout, and they keep a high staff-to-resident ratio, with round-the-clock help always there. They follow all the necessary licenses and health inspections, with standards met and confirmed by Care.com, and can host up to 176 residents. The neighborhood has nearby restaurants like Urth Caffé-Beverly Hills, parks, coffee shops like Blue Bottle Coffee, and other options, and the whole place tries to keep residents as independent as they can be, with a holistic approach that looks at both health and happiness. While the rating sits at 2.9 from 9 reviews, and the environment is peaceful and inviting with a welcoming staff, Beverly Hills Loving Care works on giving everyone choice, comfort, and safety every day, with a focus on meeting the real needs of older adults in Los Angeles.
