    Welcoming, spotless, safe, caring, affordable

I moved in after a dedicated interview with Karen Fomby and immediately felt welcomed. The facility is beautiful, spotless, safe and comfortable, and the staff are professional, patient and genuinely caring. My meals are healthy and tailored to my favorites-my mobility and weight are being managed-and the care is loving and affordable.

    About Sisters Assisted Living

Sisters Assisted Living sits in Modesto, CA, and has 6 licensed beds as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (license #502700748), and while it's a newer RCFE, the team brings over 25 years of experience in caring for adults and seniors, especially those who may need support with daily activities like bathing, dressing, medication management, and moving around, and the place offers a few different care options, such as Assisted Living, Independent Living, and a special program called Pleasant Valley Memory Care for folks with dementia or Alzheimer's, where staff use specific therapies and safety features to help reduce confusion and prevent wandering. The building's all on one level and has private, one-bedroom suites with amenities like air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, bath tubs, accessible layouts, washers and dryers, and residents can use kitchens or kitchenettes, though healthy meals-low in salt and sugar, and tailored for allergies and diabetes-are prepared daily and served in the dining room or through all-day dining options, and communal mealtimes help people connect.

There are staff available round the clock, including nurses, personal care assistants, and therapists, and the team, led by Karen Fomby, gets noted for professionalism, compassion, and respect for everyone, and many people describe the place as spotless, safe, and comfortable, with a family atmosphere and friendly staff who are patient and helpful, making it welcoming for residents and their families. Sisters Assisted Living supports seniors who want to stay active but need help from time to time, offering services like housekeeping, laundry, dressing and grooming, medication support, wound care, and occupational therapy, with easy access to ambulation support when needed, and the building includes safety and emergency alert systems, a guarded environment for those in memory care, sprinkler systems, and handicap features throughout. There's guest and resident parking, and while transportation costs extra, they do help with rides and the area's convenient for public transport if family wants to visit or residents need to run errands.

Community life at Sisters Assisted Living revolves around shared activities, movie nights, arts and crafts, social events, walking paths, a fitness center, and a salon/barbershop, so folks can stay active and social, with a common room, a game area, and a garden if someone likes being outside, or you can sit in the lobby and chat. The Pleasant Valley Memory Care section gives extra support for those with memory loss, with personalized care plans, engaging programs, and therapies designed to maintain dignity and reduce stress, and their approach aims to keep residents as independent as possible while making sure they're safe.

The six-bed setup means every person gets more attention and the place has a quiet, family feel, and residents have choices in room style-studios, single rooms, two-bedroom units, semi-private, and private-so people can make it feel like home, and pets are welcomed, though rules may apply. Housekeeping and laundry are included in the services, along with meal prep, health and wellness programs, education activities, and support in daily routines. The facility uses local senior living advisors and provides guidance to families in choosing options, and families can schedule visits or consultations to talk about costs and care plans, since costs aren't posted online yet, even though the published rating stands at 5.0 stars. All reviews are verified first-hand by staff for accuracy.

Altogether, Sisters Assisted Living offers a caring, steady environment where seniors can live with support, stay social, and get help for conditions like dementia, and connection among residents shows in the social activities and shared meals, and the place focuses on safety, dignity, and well-being, whether someone's living independently, needs daily assistance, or requires specialized care for memory loss.
