    About Valley View Retirement Center

Valley View Retirement Center is a senior living community licensed for up to 116 residents, serving adults usually ages 55 or 62 and older, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care for people with different care needs. Valley View provides help with bathing, dressing, grooming, transfers, medication management, and reminders, with staff on call 24 hours a day if someone needs help at any time, and there's support for people with diabetes including insulin management and meal plan changes. Most people live in fully-furnished rooms or apartments, with choices like shared suites, private suites, and studios, all with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and telephone hookups, and folks can also find semi-private rooms at a lower monthly cost.

Meals are served in a dining room with restaurant-style service, including one or two nutritious chef-prepared meals a day, with options for special diets like diabetic or allergy-sensitive choices, and housekeeping and laundry services help keep everything tidy. Residents get transportation for doctor visits, errands, outings, and faith-based activities, and community outings and excursions help everyone stay active and connected outside the Center. The staff runs activities every day-things like movie nights, music therapy, games, arts and crafts, board games, fitness classes, religious programs, scheduled trips, and gardening, plus residents can read quietly in the small library or use the computer center and high-speed internet to stay in touch with family.

The community has many places for people to gather, including a game room, indoor common rooms, outdoor walking paths, a landscaped garden, and a wellness center with fitness and spa areas, and there's a beauty salon and sometimes mobile hairdressers come by for extra convenience. Devotional activities happen both onsite and offsite, and there are special memory care units and programs for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, set up for comfort and safety. Fees depend on the type of room and level of care, and they take private pay, insurance, Social Security, and veteran's benefits, although higher care needs and two-person arrangements may cost more. The center has friendly staff who help create a comfortable, home-like setting, and the services aim to help residents feel supported while keeping their independence wherever possible.
