    Good daytime care dangerous nights

I stayed only briefly but left concerned. The private rooms are clean and nicely personalized, meals are delicious and diet-driven, and the activity calendar-with outings, exercise and warm dining-really shines; daytime staff are competent and friendly. However, new management is slow to answer phones, night supervision is poor (staff often not visible, residents wandering), I witnessed staff drinking on duty, and one resident was even left at a nearby store because staff failed to arrange pickup. Safety issues made me feel I had to live like it was my last day-fix supervision and responsiveness before I'd recommend it.

    About Grandview Manor

Grandview Manor is a licensed residential care elderly community for up to 82 seniors, offering assisted living, memory care, independent living, and respite care, and the staff help residents every day with things like bathing, dressing, transfers, and medication management, so folks don't have to worry about handling all the details themselves anymore if they have trouble with them, and there's always someone around 24 hours a day to help or answer the call system if needed, which is probably a relief for a lot of people. Residents live in private, fully furnished rooms with kitchenettes, private bathrooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi, telephones, and air conditioning, and the rooms have easy wheelchair access, which is important for comfort and safety, especially with mobility concerns, and they can walk out into landscaped yards or sit in garden spaces. Regular housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, and dry cleaning are handled so residents don't have to keep up with chores, which makes the days a little easier, and there's move-in help for folks who need extra support getting settled.

The dining room serves daily home-cooked meals, with dietary options for those who need diabetic or special restriction meals, and meal planners make sure food tastes good and fits health needs. Grandview Manor keeps things social and active with a full schedule of activities, like art and music programs, movie nights, board games, community evening events, and planned day trips, plus organized music therapy, pet therapy, resident-run activities, and chances to relax outside when the weather is nice. Other areas in the community include a small library, a computer center, a gaming room, a reading room, a fitness space, and planned fitness schedules, and there's a jacuzzi and steam room available for those who like to unwind. For spiritual needs, devotional activities happen off-site, and for folks who can't drive, the staff help coordinate rides to doctor's appointments, errands, and faith-based facilities, plus arrange transportation for outings.

Grandview Manor also provides memory care in a secure environment for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, so safety and structure are a focus, and families can worry a little less. Nurses are available for 12-16 hours daily, and caregivers are always on hand to help with daily activities and personal hygiene; non-medical caregivers stay on duty 24/7 to help with transfers and any physically demanding tasks. Emergency services and an on-site call system offer extra peace of mind, especially in case something unexpected happens. The community has outdoor spaces, walking paths, gardens, indoor common areas, and plenty of chances to spend time with others or just relax, plus there's always something going on, from wellness programs to planned community events and friendly staff to help if there's ever a need. Grandview Manor does not take Medicare for care services unless certified, but the care team focuses on creating an active, welcoming setting for seniors and people with disabilities, making the transition as comfortable as they can.
