    Spotless ocean-view home, caring staff

I live at this small six-bed home and overall I'm very happy. The place is spotless, well-maintained and bright with ocean-view rooms, pleasant grounds and accessible outdoor areas; the owner and son live onsite and staff are attentive, compassionate and professional. Meals are delicious with diet options, and staff arrange outings and transportation to church. It's cozy and can feel crowded - stairs are difficult, there's only one bathroom and some rooms have commodes - but the caring service and comfortable home make it easy for me to recommend.

    About Sunset Gardens

Sunset Gardens is a family-owned residential care home with 13 beds located at 1338 27th Avenue in San Francisco's Outer Sunset District, and the place sits in a quiet neighborhood where residents can look out onto a serene back garden and enjoy home-cooked meals in well-lighted, clean rooms that feel homelike and welcoming. The building is a two-story house with both private and shared bedrooms, and there's a peaceful garden out back that gives people a nice spot for fresh air or just some time outdoors. The community supports seniors with many needs, including independent living, assisted living, dementia care, and even care for certain diseases like cancer, and has services for those requiring nursing home assistance too.

Sunset Gardens started serving seniors in 2014 under the management of Tredici, LLC and it's still owned and operated by Katie Eiseman, with daily care managed by a gerontologist who's got over 25 years of experience. Trained staff, including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs, provide support twenty-four hours a day and always stay awake and attentive so everyone's needs get met. There's assistance with bathing, dressing, medication management, personal hygiene, and help for incontinence, plus memory care services that help prevent wandering and reduce confusion for those living with Alzheimer's or dementia. Hospice care, home health care, and special support for cancer and other diseases are also available. Each resident gets a personalized care plan, and there's close coordination with family doctors, which helps keep care consistent.

The daily routine includes light housekeeping, dining services with nutritious and tasty food, medication management, and transportation for doctor appointments or outings. Residents wear individualized call button pendants for quick help, and the staff helps out with VA benefits, aides, and attendance programs when people qualify. Activities and exercise programs give residents chances to stay active socially, physically, and mentally-things like music, games, crafts, and outings are part of life here, so it doesn't get dull. The place tries to keep things intimate, non-institutional, and comfortable so everyone's treated with dignity and kindness. There's a robust calendar of activities aimed at helping folks stay engaged and happy, and there's always someone around in case help is needed, which makes daily life feel simpler and safer.

Sunset Gardens holds license number 385600396 as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly and has a verified community status. The facility keeps things straightforward and personal, which suits people who want a smaller, calm place to spend their days, surrounded by attentive care and a steady routine.
