Sherman Oaks Health & Rehab sits at 14401 Huston Street in Sherman Oaks, California, and offers skilled nursing care, post-acute care, and rehabilitation services, so people coming here can expect help from a team that includes nurses, physicians, and others like Miguel Baltazar, who works as an Admissions Coordinator, Elba Rodriguez, who's a Registered Nurse, and A.J. Bray, a Patient Relations Coordinator; they're part of a group that values working together with each resident and their family to try to improve health in a physical, emotional, and sometimes spiritual way, considering needs as they change because that's all part of their approach. The facility's rules protect people using housing choice vouchers or different sources of income, and there are protections in place for LGBTQ individuals, including not allowing discrimination against residents based on gender identity or orientation, which makes things more comfortable for people from different walks of life. Sherman Oaks Health & Rehab runs with a focus on hospital and health care services, has licensed staff, tries to learn and improve, and, being a privately held business with about 11 to 50 employees, gives each person staying there some personal attention, though not everything about the building's layout, parking, and amenities is known, and the property's not currently for sale or rent. The facility offers various apartment rentals, and health and rehabilitation programs, but details about each apartment or interior feature aren't really clear at this time. The focus seems to be on providing care, good communication between staff and patients, and keeping an adaptable, respectful community.

Inconsistent dangerous care; use caution
My mother was there four years. There were some truly wonderful people - caring CNAs and therapists (Oleg, Olga, Simone, Clair, Irma) and a terrific rehab unit that helped her walk again - but overall care was wildly inconsistent and at times dangerous: neglect, missed meds/monitoring, dropped patients and fractures, weight loss/poor diet, filthy rooms/poor hygiene, indifferent night staff and management understaffed/unprofessional. The building looks updated and some staff are excellent, but privacy, safety, and basic medical attention were often lacking. I would not trust this place for long-term care; only consider short rehab stays and watch everything closely.
