    Safe, welcoming community; excellent activities

My mom moved into this nearby, spotless new community and it immediately felt like home - safe, warm, and welcoming. The activity program is outstanding (fitness, art, group exercise, games, live music and outings), Enrichment Leader Jocelyn is wonderfully engaging, and their memory care uses new tech with brain-stimulating, individualized activities. Staff are knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely caring (the owner is an Alzheimer's specialist) - my mom made friends quickly and is very happy.

About The Ridge at Westlake Village

The Ridge at Westlake Village sits at 31200 Cedar Valley Drive in Westlake Village, CA, and is a newer senior living community that started construction in fall 2022 and opened in January 2025, standing out as part of Oakmont Senior Living and the Ivy Living group. This place is a licensed residential care facility with 128 units, including 102 assisted living apartments and 26 memory care suites, and it even has 15 affordable units with six for low income and nine for moderate income, which is good for folks looking for different options. The building has modern and stylish studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments that come with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, cable TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and emergency response systems, and folks also get weekly housekeeping, laundry, and access to on-site maintenance. There are comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces, lush gardens, walking paths, a courtyard, a sky terrace, and underground parking.

The place pays attention to both comfort and safety with all-day dining in a full-service restaurant, a bistro and lounge area, nutritious chef-prepared meals, and guest meal options, plus a wellness and fitness center, a salon and barbershop, and a movie theater for entertainment. Residents get scheduled transportation, help with daily activities, and personal care support around the clock, along with medication management, pet care, and room service. For health care, concierge physician services are available right at the community, and folks can stay at the same place even as care needs grow, since the site offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, and continuing care options. Programs use up-to-date options, including virtual reality for dementia care and specific support for those living with memory loss, plus a busy calendar of activities, social programs, and community events. People who live there can count on a safe, supportive place that encourages a purposeful life and meaningful connections.

The Ridge at Westlake Village follows the latest senior housing trends, with resources for care planning, glossaries, caregiver support, and more, and focuses on giving people choices as their needs change, which can be helpful for families planning ahead. Residents also get help with payment options like long-term care insurance, veteran benefits, and tax benefits, and the community's licensed status is reviewed twice a year. The community is known for winning awards for its meals, activities, and friendly environment, and is part of Oakmont Management Group, which holds a good review history. The place aims for a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with emphasis on wellness and letting residents enjoy joyful daily moments, whether folks need a lot of help or very little.
