Caring staff, lovely grounds, caution
I loved the beautiful, well-maintained grounds, wrap-around decks and convenient outdoor seating, and the staff-especially in Building 2-were warm, attentive and treated my dad like family. Accommodations were generally decent but uneven: some rooms were comfortable, while others felt dated, drab, smelled old, had dirty carpet and maintenance issues (broken toilet seat, occasional missing TP). Meals were hit-or-miss (I enjoyed breakfasts; staff were willing to make simple alternatives), and activity offerings ranged from active to very limited depending on the building. Billing was a concern - I was overcharged on a 30-day notice with no prorating and had to dispute it before they corrected the amount. Overall I recommend for the caring staff and lovely grounds, but be cautious about which building you choose and watch the billing.
