    Loving staff but management unsafe

I chose this facility because the staff were loving, attentive, and the building is spotless, bright, and offered wonderful activities - Director Sharon stood out and many caregivers knew my mom by name. Day staff were caring and kept us informed, which gave me real peace of mind. However, management was unprofessional and opaque: an antiquated alarm/call-light system, caregiver response delays up to 1.15 hours, a med-tech found napping at the front desk, and night-shift neglect were serious safety concerns. We were given a verbal 30-day notice and later evicted over weight with no written documentation or clear policy changes - communication and corporate-focused policies felt punitive. It's a place with exceptional frontline staff but major management, safety, and pricing issues - visit and ask for everything in writing before committing.

    About The Landings at Norcross

The Landings at Norcross, set in a quiet residential neighborhood on Holcomb Bridge Road in Norcross, Georgia, runs as a large 84-bed senior and assisted living community where folks can age in place and get care as their needs change, whether that's independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or home care, and they're pretty well known for keeping things homey and kind during each resident's transition. People pick from studio, private, semi-private, one-bedroom, suite, shared, or companion room layouts, all with private baths, wheelchair accessible showers, emergency call lights, and eCall pendants for safety, which gives peace of mind, and you'll find that the indoor and outdoor common areas are well-kept, comfortable, and designed for gathering and visiting with neighbors, and you'll even see gardens, a lounge, a fitness room, and a spa and wellness area, with Wi-Fi and high-speed internet for those who like to stay connected. Pets are welcome, so residents don't have to leave their furry companions behind, and you can spot folks out on field trips to nearby coffee shops like Starbucks or quick bites at Chick-Fil-A, and it's nice that there's transportation and parking for those who still drive or want to get out and about.

The care team includes a nurse on staff, a doctor on call, and a physician, nurse practitioner, podiatrist, and psychiatrist working around the clock, which covers day-to-day help and more specialized needs, like podiatry or dentistry, with physical, occupational, and speech therapy available, plus advanced health monitoring systems for things like blood pressure, blood sugar, and oxygen levels, so seniors with medical needs have regular support, and people who need hospice or respite care can get that, too. They offer dementia waivers, sensory-based programs, and assistance with transfers for those in memory care, and everyone receives personalized help, whether that's bathing, dressing, medication, or something else, and meals follow dietitian-approved plans to support health, plus there are festive holiday meals and celebrations throughout the year. Residents are busy with daily activities that range from music nights and entertainment to fishing trips, shopping, movie nights, devotional services, and homecare onsite, and you'll often find laughter, music, and friendly faces in the shared spaces. For those who like beauty or barber services, those are handy to have onsite, and the staff, many of whom speak English and Spanish, aim to foster a sense of respect, dignity, and independence. People appreciate that there's always someone there with 24-hour supervision and staffing, and that care is available for folks with different health needs, including memory care, nursing care, and help with daily life, all in a certified, well-managed setting under Bridge Senior Living, where reviews mention the grounds are manicured, the meals are nutritious, and the environment feels both supportive and affordable. The Landings at Norcross is known for its care, friendly activities, community connection, and aim to give seniors a dignified life with individual attention and plenty of opportunities to stay busy and engaged as the years go on.
