    About Botsford Senior Living Center

Botsford Senior Living Center, located at 21400 Archwood Circle in Farmington Hills, MI, sits on more than 33 acres of landscaped grounds. The community goes back a long way, and in the early 1900s it played a key role in polio treatment and became known as the home of the Michigan Hospital for Crippled Children, so those walls have seen a lot of care over time. Today, the campus looks and feels like a neighborhood, with wooded spaces, gazebos, and street lamps, offering independent living condos and apartments, assisted living, a rehabilitation and continuing care center, and memory care-all in one place. Residents can choose from several different living options like two-bedroom apartments, townhouses, condos, studios, and semi-private rooms, all with private bathrooms and wiring for cable and internet.

Staff at the center provide help with bathing, dressing, grooming, medication reminders, and nurse or physician visits. Skilled nursing and home care aides cover both medical and non-medical needs. Residents have access to an on-site rehabilitation clinic and therapy programs, and those needing extra help can join the Independent Living Plus Services program. The staff are available 24/7 and there's a round-the-clock call system for safety. Pets are sometimes allowed, and the environment feels calm and safe, with regular security checks, lawn care, and snow removal.

Meals come from chefs and meal planners who focus on nutrition. Residents can eat in a restaurant-style dining room or have snacks and meals any time, and the center honors special dietary needs including for diabetes and allergies. Meal times can be social, and guests are allowed. On-site amenities include laundry, dry cleaning, a beauty salon, air conditioning, kitchenettes, and housekeeping services with fresh linens and towels. There are lots of things to do, too, with a Town Commons that features a movie theater, pool, game room, fitness area, library, and community center, plus organized activities such as game nights, music groups, fitness and wellness sessions, book clubs, and scheduled day trips. There are walking paths, gardens, outdoor patios, and places to sit and rest, along with transportation for shopping, appointments, or outings.

Botsford helped many children recover from polio decades ago and now supports seniors and their families as they make decisions about long-term care, offering advice and planning through local advisors. The center tries to foster a sense of community and encourages independence by giving personal attention and making residents feel at home. Awards like Best of Senior Living and Most Friendly reflect that the staff are known for being welcoming, caring, and dedicated to the residents' wellbeing. Both individuals and couples can find options that fit their needs, whether they want independence, need memory care, or require long-term support. Botsford Senior Living Center provides a senior community where people can live comfortably, eat well, have fun, get help when needed, and grow old with dignity.
