    Personalized, caring staff; beautiful campus

I felt immediately welcomed - the staff were caring, smart, and knew residents by name, giving personalized, holistic care that nurtured body, mind, and spirit. The beautiful, well-maintained campus and happy residents stood out, with friendly on-site 24-hour trained medical staff who treat people like friends. Housing and furnishing choices are plentiful (duplexes, cottages, condos, individual houses); insurance wouldn't cover my husband, but the location is safe and lovely.

    About Perry Farm Village

Perry Farm Village sits just half a mile from downtown Harbor Springs and offers a range of services for seniors who want independent living, assisted living, memory care, or respite care, and the community tries to make things easy for residents by providing amenities like dining experiences, health and fitness centers, spas, and a calendar filled with entertainment and activities, while professional staff make a point of knowing residents by name and pay attention to their wellbeing. The campus has a clear layout with a campus map for exploring different living options, from independent apartments for those 55 and older who want less hassle and more chances to socialize, to The Birches neighborhood, which is Perry Farm Village's newest area that offers adult foster care and extra support for people who want to age in place. Memory care services help people with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia by offering a secure and structured home environment, and there's a wellness coordinator named Kjersti Kontio and a contact person named Barbara Bear, both of whom help guide residents and families as needs change. The staff can help with daily activities and there's a model of care that lets people move easily from independent living to assisted living or memory care if their situation changes. Advisors help match services to each person's needs and budget, and there are resources related to affordable housing, disaster recovery, and health and aging, plus programs and environments meant to nurture the body, mind, and spirit. Perry Farm Village also shares local information about Petoskey, including where to stay, dine, shop, and what to see, as well as resources for relocating, learning about the area's history, or finding jobs and schools, and there's a directory of members, job postings, and business opportunities for those who want to stay involved. Residents and their families can join in scheduled events, group purchasing programs, and annual celebrations like Art in the Park or the Downtown Farmers Market, and the community takes part in leadership, government relations, and learning opportunities. New developments are coming, such as Dr. Violet T. Lewis Village. Brochures and images help show floor plans and the feel of the place. Adults who want to stay active and social can join independent living, while those who need more care can use the memory care or assisted living services, all within a setting that values comfort, neighbors, and the flexibility to handle changing needs over time.
