    Welcoming home-like care, limited mobility

I felt welcomed, loved, and well cared for in this small, clean, home-like facility - the staff (Jen was outstanding) and manager were kind, helpful, and the food was good. It's great for a personal, people-driven atmosphere, but not the best fit if you need heavy mobility support and I felt it didn't offer strong value for money.

    About Concerned Country Care Inc

Concerned Country Care Inc sits out on five quiet acres in Montrose Township at 11122 West Wilson Road, and the place always seems peaceful with trees and gardens all around, so residents can enjoy walks or relax in the fresh air on nice days, with paths outside and a library indoors for reading when it's cold, and the staff keeps the mood friendly in this family-run spot that takes caring for people pretty seriously because they've put together a well-trained team that stays awake, always around to help. The community is licensed and runs as an Adult Medium Group Home, looking after between 7 to 12 people, mostly folks aged 50 and older who need help with things like bathing or getting dressed, managing medication, transfers, and many of life's daily tasks that get harder as time goes by, but folks also get memory care and extra support for dementia or Alzheimer's and, if needed, hospice or short-term respite care for a break. Comfort's a main thing here, since everything's already furnished, and there are eight private rooms plus two semi-private rooms, all with access for people who use wheelchairs. Meals get cooked in the home kitchen each day, and special meal plans are available for anyone who needs to avoid salt or sugar, plus they make room for requests if someone's dealing with hypertension or diabetes, and the dining room feels like a gathering spot where staff serve up what's needed and laundry gets done for residents, too, so there's less to worry about. There's a routine of daily activities-movie nights, music therapy, art, fitness sessions, and even outside trips-and they set up games, animal visits, and sometimes community events in the evenings to keep folks active and laughing, which matters as much as anything else. A mobile hairdresser or barber comes by, and residents have access to a hot tub, a sauna or wellness space, and a recreation room. Physicians and a podiatrist visit the community, so medical needs get checked up on right in the building. Staff is trained for special tasks, like giving insulin shots or assisting two people at once for transfers, and they make sure to match help to each person's level of independence, trying to keep folks safe and feeling at home. There's an emergency alert system, housekeeping, move-in coordination, and even community rooms where residents can call family, plus transportation help to doctor appointments, shopping, and sometimes church or spiritual gatherings. Concerned Country Care Inc works under Michigan's Department of Social Services, and operates with certification ID AM250238849. It doesn't take Medicare unless it's certified with the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, but it's set up for anyone needing long-term or respite stays, and folks notice the steady hands and peaceful country routine that shapes daily life there.
