    About St. Anne's Mead

St. Anne's Mead is a senior living community that's been serving older adults since 1966 and has the feel of a close, friendly home, a place where residents often stick around for years and staff tend to stay too, some for decades, which makes things comfortable and familiar all around, and you'll find a supportive, nurturing environment here, with staff trained regularly and always around, 24 hours a day, ready to help or respond to emergencies. The facility offers several types of care, including assisted living, memory care with a state-of-the-art 21-room home using the Best Friends™ philosophy, skilled nursing, extended care, respite stays, and hospice services, and it's licensed as a Home for the Aged and a nursing home in Michigan, run as a non-profit, mission-driven 501(c)3. Residents who need help with medication, bathing, dressing, transfers, or incontinence find attentive, reliable assistance here, and they can remain as their needs change thanks to different care levels, with mechanical lifts available for non-ambulatory folks.

The campus is clean, home-like, and includes 50 resident rooms, some convertible to suites, with safe features like wheelchair-accessible showers and alarm bracelets for those prone to wandering. Meals are served daily in the main dining room by chefs and meal planners, with choices including kosher and vegetarian options, so residents don't worry about cooking, and the staff handles laundry, housekeeping, and linen changes. The menu stays nutritious and varied, and a dietitian visits weekly for nutrition counseling, while scheduled visits bring podiatry, dental, hearing, vision, and physician care right onsite, along with full therapy services for physical, occupational, or speech needs throughout the week. You'll see indoor and outdoor spaces for gatherings and activities, including a game room, craft room, fitness room, library, courtyards, garden, spa, and wellness room, plus a barber and beauty shop with regular hours for hair, nails, and styling.

There's a packed calendar with exercise classes each day, hobby clubs, gardening, art projects, music, movie nights, faith-based services, outings, and special events like the Pet Parade & Blessing, all meant to keep people social, moving, and engaged. Residents join programs aimed at keeping folks as independent as possible, and there's a focus on helping residents, families, and the public understand senior health through education and events. Apartments don't have kitchenettes since meals happen in the dining room, but every room has cable TV and phone access, and there's parking for residents, though transportation is available at a cost. Staff are always just a call away with the 24-hour call system, and security is onsite at all times. St. Anne's Mead supports aging in place, offering as much or as little help as someone needs, and the staff include nurses, aides, and doctors on call, so medical needs don't go unmet. The community keeps things simple and clear, focusing on loving care, companionship, and the right support for each resident as they grow older.
