    Excellent therapy, inconsistent basic care

My loved one and I had a mixed experience. The facility is clean, therapy is excellent, and several staff (especially therapists and a few nurses) were caring and helpful. However it's chronically understaffed - nurses and aides were often slow or inattentive, meds and vitals were inconsistent, residents were left in soiled linens, and my family saw bruising/bleeding and delayed care. Communication and management were poor and sometimes misleading, rooms can be cramped/shared, accessibility and maintenance responses were slow, and the food was bad. I'd consider it for short-term rehab or early assisted-living needs only - not for later-stage dementia or high-care residents.

    About Peak Resources Charlotte

Peak Resources Charlotte sits at 3223 Central Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has 142 skilled nursing beds, and while the place is closely tied to the Meta ecosystem-which means folks might need to log in for services using Facebook, Messenger, or other Meta platforms-you'll find a mix of business minds, tech experts, and health care professionals working together to help residents with different needs, whether it's for a short stay or long-term care, and folks get services like memory care, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, 24-hour care, wound care, respiratory support, IV therapy, PICC-line help, pain management, and even mobile X-rays, and since the team aims for smooth transitions and supports people who are moving from one kind of care to another, they're careful to gather all the important details through an admissions team before folks move in, and while the main building here focuses on nursing and rehabilitation, residents also get rooms with phones, cable, and private bathrooms. Along with skilled nursing and medical care, they run special care programs, like their "I Care Program," which puts a focus on making sure people feel happy and looked after, and families can get a break through their respite care when they need some relief, and if you need a safe space for memory care, they handle that too. There's always something going on, since they offer therapeutic and recreational activities, religious services if you want them, and even special celebrations, and if someone's hair needs a trim or a wash, there's beauty and barber services on site. While each of their North Carolina locations has a bit of its own identity-like independent living at Brookshire, assisted living and memory care at Cherryville and Pinelake, and adult rehab at Alamance-the Charlotte location handles both medical and daily care needs, and payment works with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, or just paying on your own. Amanda Pack is the administrator here, and the whole staff works to make sure folks feel welcome, respected, and comfortable, always paying attention to both health care and happiness, and people can count on them to help get all the right benefits from Medicare or insurance.
