    Warm staff, beautiful facility recommended

I moved my mom here and we were overall very pleased - staff were warm, helpful and responsive (Jessica stood out), the transition was smooth, and residents seemed happy and engaged. The facility is beautiful, bright, clean and hotel-like with good dining, lots of activities and secure memory-care areas. Downsides: rooms can be smaller, pricing is on the high side with a long waitlist, and we did have an issue with a missing quilt/other belongings not returned. Despite that, care and follow-up were solid and I'd recommend it.

    About Cadence Garner

Cadence Garner sits on Minglewood Drive in southern Garner, North Carolina, tucked among tall longleaf pine trees, with easy access to parks and city attractions, and the place's got a music-inspired theme running through the whole building, you'll see hints of Queen Anne-style touches and the landscaping's always looked after, and you notice the wide wrap-around porch, which feels right for the South. Residents can choose to decorate their own spacious suites, with companion studios, private studios, or a one-bedroom floor plan, all having either emergency pull cords or pendants for safety, which is something people appreciate, and they let you bring in your own furniture. The community offers assisted living, memory care, and other levels of care, so if you need more help as you get older, you won't have to move away, and for folks with Alzheimer's or dementia, the Memory Care program uses their Revere℠ method, focusing on personal routines and keeping each person mentally engaged. Staff pay attention to the residents, encouraging them to join music, art, movement, and pet programs like Melody & Masterpiece, Forever Fit, Pawsitive Health, Starlight Shows, and Virtual Voyages. The staff sticks around all the time and tries to help everyone feel known and valued, which isn't something you find everywhere, and they run a lot of social events, sometimes inviting families over for special gatherings. There's a cafe-style dining area where chefs make meals every day, and the menus offer different options, catering for special diets if needed, which helps a lot of folks. Amenities include indoor sitting areas, activity rooms, a gallery, quiet places for anyone who wants them, and a calendar full of things like Memories in Motion and other resident-driven activities, so things don't get dull. There's personal care, rehabilitation, respite stays, long-term living, psychiatric and psychoanalytic support too, so a broad range of needs gets covered. The place feels modern and comfortable, and staff try to balance active independence with needed assistance, always aiming to help people keep as much freedom as possible, and it all happens in an environment that feels welcoming, homelike, and full of small-town charm.
