Piedmont Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation sits in Greensboro, North Carolina, and has 126 skilled nursing facility beds. The center offers both short-term and long-term options for people needing care, and the staff works to make everyone feel welcome when they arrive, whether they're staying for a little while to recover or living there for more support over time. There's a focus on compassionate, dignified care, and you'll find a group of skilled professionals including full-time rehabilitation specialists who work with residents every day. Each resident gets a personalized care plan that matches their own needs, so someone recovering from a health issue can have a completely different support plan compared to residents who plan to stay for the long haul. There are nursing and rehabilitation services, programs aimed at both recovery and ongoing support, and features in the building that help with rehabilitation specifically. The staff tries to make things comfortable and helpful for recovery, with amenities that support patient comfort. Jennifer Reagan leads the facility as the administrator, and the center's also a part of the North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association. The team focuses on creating a place where people can recover, get support, and feel at home in a calm and supportive setting.

Excellent care but inconsistent problems
I experienced excellent therapists, many kind nurses and a few staff who went above and beyond - the therapy and some departments were top-notch in a pleasant, well-designed building. But care was wildly inconsistent: I saw rude/unresponsive staff, poor cleanliness and urine odors, missed meds and dialysis, privacy and safety concerns, theft and chaotic discharge planning. My takeaway: mixed - there are truly great caregivers here, but serious problems mean I would investigate carefully before entrusting a loved one.
