Huntersville Health & Rehabilitation Center sits just off I-95 near Novant Health Medical Center in the Huntersville community, and it's a place where folks get skilled nursing, long-term care, and various kinds of rehabilitation. The building has 90 skilled nursing beds and provides care for seniors who need extra help, with over 50 years of experience looking after residents. People staying here get rooms that are spacious and comfortable, with options for private or shared spaces, each with an ensuite bathroom and showers or tubs made to be safe and easy to use. Each room has housekeeping, kitchens or kitchenettes, cable TV, and washers and dryers close by, which makes life a bit easier. Sprinklers run through the property for safety.
The community has a big focus on helping people recover, whether from planned surgeries like a hip or knee replacement, or from things like strokes, heart attacks, falls, or respiratory illnesses. There's a LifeWorks Rehab® Recovery Program using special plans, with therapy and recovery tools like the Recovery Map™ and Personal Report Card™ to track how someone's doing and help with motivation. Residents get therapy as many as seven days a week, and up to three hours each day, with the schedule based on each person's needs. The center has a state-of-the-art gym that's stocked with therapy equipment including a dynamic stair trainer, Cyber Cycles, HUR iBalance Machine, an Alter-G treadmill, Woodway Walkerview treadmill, and a unique indoor mobility gym, all set up to help people get moving and back to their everyday lives as much as possible.
There's a team of physicians, skilled nurses, certified nursing assistants, therapists-physical, occupational, and speech language pathologists-plus a dietitian and culinary staff, and these are all part of the in-house team, not outside contractors. Care is available around the clock, with support for things like dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting. Medical services include medication support, wound care, and podiatry, plus there's help for people living with memory issues.
Amenities around the property include a restaurant-style dining room with meals prepared by chefs, a fitness center, salon and barbershop, a game and activities room, library, sitting areas for guests and residents to relax, visitor parking, and even places where visitors can bring their dogs. There's Wi-Fi throughout and activities like arts and crafts, education programs, social events, and health and wellness classes, all organized by an onsite activities coordinator. Residents also get transportation services if they need to go out and help with things like maintenance and upkeep.
The center provides various insurance options for long-term care and has experience helping people navigate recovery after accidents, illnesses, and surgeries. Huntersville Health & Rehabilitation Center is operated by William Gardin and works under guidelines that meet strong accreditation and certification standards. The staff aim to keep people safe, support their independence, and help them get the best quality of life they can.
