    Friendly staff, peaceful country home

I feel very lucky to live here — the staff are wonderfully friendly, caring, helpful and knowledgeable, and they truly care about the residents. The place is always clean and well-kept, home-like with a porch, rocking chairs, gazebo and flower beds, quiet in a country setting off the highway, and it gives me real peace of mind (there are even puzzles and small activities to enjoy).

About Country Pines Family Care Home

Country Pines Family Care Home sits at 5409 Rob Carswell Street in Morganton, NC, where seniors will see a wide mix of care and activities, so there's nursing, assisted living, memory care, day programs, and even support for folks who need help with basic things like dressing, bathing, or managing their medicine, and it's especially helpful for those needing more hands-on attention, since they've got group homes like Clara's Cottage and Perkins Family Care for extra support, with places like Serenity Care in nearby towns, and that means folks get a friendly setup with live-in caregivers right there with them. The place feels open and welcoming, with a lot of indoor and outdoor spaces: there's walking trails, enclosed gardens, patios, a pond, and spots for gardening, fishing, or just sitting by the lake. The facility's got ramps, handrails, and wheelchair access all around, and residents can have small pets there too.

Seniors will find lots to do: there's an art studio, ceramic studio, greenhouse, woodshop, and sewing room, plus billiards, a games room, a putting green, bocce, shuffleboard, pickleball, and a sand volleyball court. The home offers fitness and wellness programs with a gym, indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool spas, and even a personal trainer, so folks can stay active no matter their ability. Meals, including diets for special health needs, are served daily in the dining room, private dining spaces, cafes like Bistro Grille, or even through meal plans with delivery right to the suite, where each room-private or shared-has its own shower or spa tub, cable, Wi-Fi, and climate controls.

There's lots of daily activities, community events in the auditorium, social get-togethers in the clubhouse or lounges, movie nights in the theater, and group exercises in the fitness center. For worship or quiet time, there's an old chapel and indoor common areas for small or larger groups, and folks can join scheduled devotional activities or trips around town using the residence bus, van, or arranged transportation, which can help with doctor visits or just shopping nearby. Housekeeping, laundry, mail, and notary services are all available, and there are handy features like a beauty and barber shop, a convenience store, a cyber café, and guest apartments with visitor parking.

Each resident gets personalized care planned to their needs, so staff help with medication, bathing, dressing, transfers, diabetic care, non-ambulatory needs, and incontinence, plus coordination with healthcare providers, and there's respite care for short stays to give family caregivers a break. Safety is a priority with emergency call systems, security, and snow removal, and community services include high-speed internet, a library, computer lab, business center, and even support for personal office needs. The care home's main focus is on providing a safe, supportive, and clean environment, where folks get to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy their time-whether they need a lot of help or just some day-to-day support-with choices for assisted, independent, or memory care living.
