The Manor sits at 12930 Dorman Rd in Pineville, NC, and offers a mix of independent living, assisted living, nursing home care, and memory care so folks with different needs find support, and there's a good bit packed in for seniors who want a maintenance-free lifestyle, like apartments with efficient appliances, wheelchair-accessible showers and tubs, patios or balconies for a bit of fresh air, and options for floor plans including both one-bedroom and two-bedroom units for those who want more space or have a companion. Residents get reliable Wi-Fi throughout, cable-ready TVs, and community spaces where they can join scheduled clubs, events, or group activities, while meals are served in a social dining setting and you'll find vegetarian and kosher options too, so there's attention to different tastes and dietary needs. The community tries to help residents stay active and engaged, offering structured programs with educational and fun activities, and there's transportation for running errands or making appointments, plus in-home services and home care for those who want a bit more help but still keep their own space. There are home security features, walk-in tubs, medication dispensers, ID theft protection, and medical alert systems from the likes of Bay Alarm Medical, Medical Guardian, and ADT Medical Alert, plus reviews and guides to help pick which service feels right, which all add up to peace of mind for folks who may worry about safety. Hearing aid resources, lists of good hearing aids (including Jabra and MDHearingAid), and things like special cell phones for seniors from Jitterbug or Consumer Cellular, as well as senior-oriented internet and cable plans, are some of the tech perks that help keep everyone connected. For those who need help every day, The Manor provides personal care, medication management, and help with daily living-dressing, bathing, meals-and for folks with memory issues, there's a special program to help reduce confusion and keep everyone safe, including care units focused on dementia and Alzheimer's care. Caregivers find resources and support, and families can use respite care so primary caregivers get a break and can trust their loved ones are in good hands for a while. Staffing covers healthcare and ancillary services day and night, and veterans may use VA benefits like Aid and Attendance to help cover the cost of care. The Manor also has senior apartments, residential care homes with live-in caregivers for more daily help, and options for both lower and higher budgets, so everyone can find somewhere comfortable, and with all services and dining priced à la carte, residents only pay for what they need. The staff aims to be warm and friendly, and the place has a reputation for a vibrant retirement atmosphere, where people can make new friends and stay busy as much or as little as they like, all under one roof while living their 55+ years in comfort and safety.
Friendly staff, quiet apartments, pricey
I live here and overall I'm pleased: the staff and maintenance are friendly, attentive and go out of their way, the apartments are beautiful and quiet with courtyard access, and there's a strong social vibe with many activities and outings. Downsides: it's expensive, some amenities (shuttle, pool, exercise rooms) are limited or closed, and dining and hands-on care can be inconsistent-so it's a better fit for more independent seniors. I recommend touring to see if it's right for you.
