The Chapel Hill Community sits on a large, peaceful campus with green hills, a tranquil pond, and shady trees, and you'll find it near restaurants, shopping, and biking trails so there's always something to do. Residents can choose studio apartments, standalone cottages, villas, bungalows, or memory care apartments, and some of these have full kitchens, while cottages offer a scenic atmosphere. The community serves adults aged 55 and over, offering independent living for those who like to do things on their own and assisted living for people who need a little more help with tasks like housekeeping or personal care, and they also have skilled nursing care and memory care for people with Alzheimer's or other dementias. There are various room types, including semi-private and single rooms, as well as memory care private and semi-private rooms, and skilled nursing care units. Some pets are allowed.
Residents get daily housekeeping, help with medication, access to an emergency response system, and medical transportation when needed. There are therapists on staff, and the community provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy seven days a week, with respite care for short-term stays and fast track rehab for those recovering from illness or surgery. The care team supports residents in memory care neighborhoods with cognitive therapies such as Music and Memory and Opening Minds Through Art, helping to reduce stress and promote calm.
Recreational options include walking paths, outdoor spaces, biking trails nearby, craft rooms, living rooms, community gardens, and plenty of social events like game nights, crafts, entertainment activities, or scheduled group outings. The chapel, with a full-time chaplain, supports those looking for spiritual activities, while communal dining halls provide restaurant-style meals and a chance to connect with others. WiFi and internet access are available throughout the campus.
The Chapel Hill Community offers Life Plan Community services, which means it supports different levels of care, letting people stay as their needs change, and it's fully licensed for residential care and skilled nursing. People can get information and support for planning, caregiver resources, home care, hospice, and respite care. Residents feel a strong sense of community and connection here, with a focus on holistic and person-directed care. The staff try to respect each person's choices, helping them live comfortably and with purpose.
