Mother Angeline McCrory Manor stands out with its wide open front lobby where there's a grand piano and a fireplace, along with plenty of seating, puzzles, games, and books for people to enjoy, and guests can use free Wi-Fi, which comes in handy when family or friends visit, especially since the entrance drive and conference rooms make it easy for group gatherings, family visits, or quiet meals together. The facility covers a lot of ground with its skilled nursing and intermediate care for residents who are very frail or need daily nursing help, and there are short-term rehabilitation services for those who need help getting back on their feet after a hospital stay, so people can expect physical, occupational, and speech therapy as part of what's offered. On top of all that, the manor includes assisted living, independent living, and memory care assisted living, which means folks with Alzheimer's or dementia can live in a setting focused on their needs, and the community stays active with scheduled daily recreational activities. Medical care is a priority, with services for things like ophthalmology and dermatology, and at the same time, spiritual support is available for anyone who wants it, since the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm sponsor the manor and stay involved in daily life, because they believe in taking care of the whole person. People who live here can expect care plans suited to their health, along with a safe, home-like environment, and though the facility does a lot to make life comfortable, it sticks to simple comforts and personal touches-whether that means a game in the lobby, a therapy appointment, or some quiet time by the fireplace.

Beautiful facility, systemic failures persist
I have deeply mixed feelings. The building is beautiful, clean and faith-centered, the food and rehab (PT/OT) were excellent, and many nurses, aides, cooks and therapists were compassionate and treated residents like family. But chronic understaffing, poor communication between nursing and administration, broken equipment, missed vitals/call buttons, catheter and infection concerns, delayed hospital transfers and other safety lapses alarmed me. Admissions handled things poorly - I witnessed prejudiced/unprofessional behavior (Sandy made an unacceptable comment) and the apology never addressed the problem. I saw both truly wonderful staff and systemic failures that create real legal and safety risk, so despite the positives I cannot recommend this facility and rate my experience one star.
