    Friendly staff pricey management concerns

I toured this newer, very clean community and loved how friendly, caring and attentive the staff were - residents seemed happy, activities and transportation are good, and there's in-house medical support. The apartments are small (studios ~288-360 sq ft), the place is premium priced with extra fees (I was told about a $15/day med fee), and food reviews were mixed. My biggest concerns were management and communication: I encountered miscommunication, unreturned inquiries and heard about deposit/rate issues. I also heard isolated reports of understaffing and care lapses, and a few safety/theft concerns - so I'd recommend it for the staff and atmosphere but advise closely vetting costs, room size and management before deciding.
