    Clean facility but staff disrespectful

I found the place very clean and odor-free with many friendly, caring staff, but nurses spoke to residents disrespectfully and overall communication was unprofessional - I would not return.

    About St. Francis Home

St. Francis Home is a nonprofit nursing home that sits on a quiet, wooded campus and offers senior care services for older adults who need a little help or more complete support, and the community design aims to help people feel relaxed with comfortable living spaces and landscaped outdoor areas, plus there are private residences for folks who need long-term care, so you'll find everything from independent living to assisted living and memory care, as well as skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation, which means a lot of different needs can be met here. The dining services serve nutritious meals restaurant-style using quality ingredients, with snacks and a separate café menu, and guests can join at mealtimes; residents can also get help with activities of daily living like dressing, bathing, and taking their medicine, and the healthcare team provides support around the clock with services for diabetic care, incontinence, non-ambulatory needs, and memory impairments like dementia or Alzheimer's, with housing and spaces set up to help keep seniors safe and reduce confusion.

There are physical, occupational, and speech therapy services on-site, as well as skilled nursing, restorative nursing, and hospice for those who need a higher level of care, plus scheduled visits from occupational therapists are available and the facility handles medication management too. Some other supports include counseling, psychiatric services, dental, podiatry, optometry, and audiology clinics within the building, so residents don't have to go far for appointments, and diagnostic imaging takes place on-site. The facility provides hospice and home care, plus respite care when needed, and folks have access to personal fund accounts and postal services, daily housekeeping and laundry, including laundry and dry cleaning for linens and clothes, and licensed beauticians provide hair care for an extra fee.

Residents have access to a lot of enjoyable activities, both on-site and off-site, that are meant to stimulate the mind and body and help people build friendships; there are educational, social, and recreational programs along with scheduled transportation to and from appointments, activity rooms scattered throughout for gatherings, and pet therapy available, and guests' pets may be allowed. The community encourages spiritual growth, offering devotional activities, religious services in a large chapel, and spaces set aside for prayer and reflection. People can choose between living spaces like studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom apartments, and everyone can use common rooms, a recreation room, community dining areas, and outdoor walking paths.

The property has recently had renovations to boost safety and make things look more cheerful, and there are regular social events planned to encourage engagement and a purpose-filled life, with a community photo gallery that shares what's happening around the campus. Residents keep as much independence as possible while still getting what they need for safety and comfort, with options like independent living for those wanting a vibrant, active lifestyle and help nearby if required, assisted living for extra aid with daily tasks, and memory care with environments and therapies designed to support people facing dementia or Alzheimer's, plus skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for those recovering from illness or injury. All services aim to keep older adults' well-being in mind, supporting both physical health and emotional needs, and people of faith will find programs and chapel services to help them stay connected to their beliefs.
