Adams County Manor is a nursing home facility in the West Union, Ohio area that offers several kinds of care for older adults, and there's a focus on memory care for those with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia as well as assisted living for people who need help with daily things like bathing, dressing, or managing medicine, and the place has skilled nursing with help for wounds, pain, medicine, and more complex medical needs, and there's physical therapy to help folks get stronger, move better, and feel less stiff, with speech and occupational therapy too, so people can relearn communication, swallowing, and take care of themselves in safe ways right at the facility or even at their own homes. The place offers rehabilitative care, home health, long-term care, hospice, and respite care, so there's quite a bit of support, and they work with each resident's physician to create a care plan that fits the person, and there's always someone on site day or night to help when needed. The Transitional Care Unit is set up to help people recover and get home safely and has 34 private and semi-private rooms, each with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and their own connected bathroom, and there's a cozy café on site for eating or visiting with guests. Adams County Manor holds a 5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and has been recognized as one of the Best Nursing Homes by U.S. News and World Report, and there are 74 beds in the Medicare and Medicaid certified community. Daily housekeeping and laundry help keep things tidy, and there's a dietitian on staff who makes sure everyone's meals fit their health needs, while the Resident Choice Menu Dining Program lets residents pick meals they prefer, with menu-style dining often in the small private café. You'll find cable TV and Wi-Fi available free for residents, and the Music and Memory™ program brings music into the lives of folks with memory issues. Activities go on every day, both one-on-one and in groups, so folks can be active or socialize, and there's a focus on safety with fall prevention, plus education for specific health conditions, and the facility partners with Mercy Hospital-Clermont Wound Care for wound needs, with Dr. Charles Miller, M.D., serving as the Orthopedic Director. Residents can choose private or semi-private rooms, and couples can even stay together if they like, and the facility has a friendly, comfortable feeling while staff members support physical, mental, and social well-being through therapies, engaging activities, and individualized care, all in a place that tries to feel as homelike as possible.

Respectful warm staff, beautiful facility
I'm very happy with this place - the staff were respectful, warm and genuinely caring (the DON and nurses knew residents by name) and they made my grandmother feel at home. The facility is very clean and beautifully remodeled with state-of-the-art private rooms, full amenities (spa, activity room, weekly bingo), homestyle meals and excellent therapy - my grandfather was spoiled rotten. I did hear a couple of reports of poor treatment/bias, so visit and ask questions, but I would still highly recommend it.
