    Mom neglected, staff unhelpful, refused

I wanted a positive, best-in-class place, but my experience was terrible. My mom was often left uncared for and unfed, staff and the owner were unhelpful, she required a hospital transfer, and they refused to refund us.

    About Dayspring Personal Care Home

Dayspring Personal Care Home sits in Morrisdale, PA, as a family-owned and operated residential care home serving seniors since 1985, and while there's not much specific information about it, folks there do enjoy a personal touch in a place that's stayed focused on care for decades. The home is licensed for 13 residents and works as a senior community aiming to give a supportive and safe place for daily living. Caregivers help with basics such as bathing, dressing, getting up, using the bathroom, and eating, all while keeping a careful eye on medication management, hygiene, and personal routines, so residents get help when it's needed most. There's 24-hour supervision, and services reach from assisted living and memory care to hospice and respite stays.

Meals come home-cooked each day, and kitchen staff can make special menus for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, or food allergies, and folks always get a choice of dining rooms or all-day meal service if they like to eat at different times. Rooms are furnished with phones and made to feel comfortable, and the whole building is wheelchair friendly with emergency alert systems built in, just to keep things safe and easy to move around.

To keep life interesting, Dayspring Personal Care Home puts together activities like art, board games, workout schedules, music therapy, movie nights, and game areas, and residents can spend quiet time in the reading room, gardens, or on walking paths, or relax in the sauna, wellness room, or even the jacuzzi if they want. The staff line up regular events and even have pet therapy for those who want a little animal company. A mobile stylist comes in for haircuts and grooming right on site, and there's a parlor for those personal care needs. There's transportation coordination set up for doctor appointments, running errands, or even getting to church, and the whole place offers parking for visitors or anyone with their own ride. The community covers housekeeping, laundry, move-in coordination, and keeps a busy calendar so things always feel active and welcoming. Dayspring also helps families with telehealth, care management, clinical activity monitoring, electronic visit checks, and meal programs through CACFP.

Wheelchair access, incontinence care, and a careful eye on all-day needs come standard, and the staff help keep schedules running with reminders and hands-on service, so loved ones feel looked after even when families can't be there. Services like My Adult Foster Care, My Adult Home Care, My Senior Care Hub, and My Adult Behavior support home care needs as well. The place is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon and stays closed on Sundays, and folks should know it doesn't take Medicare unless certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Dayspring Personal Care Home tries to give steady support with a friendly, close-knit feel, and that's about what you can expect.
