    Clean caring staff, highly recommended

I placed my loved one here and have been very happy overall. The place is clean, cozy and well-maintained; staff - especially Lenora Carson - are caring, attentive and became like family, care is high-quality with engaging activities, private rooms and good communication. A few people reported occasional administrative or staffing/medication hiccups, so stay vigilant, but I would highly recommend this facility.

    About The Seasons of Saxonburg

The Seasons of Saxonburg sits in the borough of Saxonburg and offers both personal care and memory care services in a newly renovated building that's been designed to feel welcoming. The community has caregivers and nurses available around the clock and can help residents with things like mobility, bathing, dressing, medication management, and eating. The staff have training in memory care, safety, and health needs, and they're friendly too, with many speaking both English and other languages. You'll find a focus on safety, with emergency alert systems, security systems, and secure courtyards, along with programs meant to prevent falls and keep people from wandering off.

The apartments come in different sizes, like private rooms, semi-private, and Jack-and-Jill suites, with private bathrooms and views of the courtyards, and each room can be furnished either by the resident or with a twin bed, dresser, lamp, and chair that the community provides. Residents can control their own heat and air, and cable, electricity, and water all come with the room, plus you'll get big closets, wall-to-wall flooring, and window coverings. There's a secured dementia unit with all single rooms and private bathrooms for memory care residents so those who need more help can feel safe and supported.

Housekeeping, laundry with dry cleaning, and on-site maintenance are all provided, and folks can have their mail and papers delivered right to their doors. The kitchen serves dietitian-approved meals and will handle special diets, like vegetarian, kosher, low fat, renal, dysphagia, or low salt, and there are flexible meal plans, snacks, a private dining area, and casual dining if that's what someone prefers. You can go to church services right in the building, see a movie on film night, play bingo or cards, join exercise or dance classes, or join outings to the local senior center.

Residents have access to therapies including physical, occupational, speech, sensory, and respiratory therapy, and there's support for diabetes, hospice, disease management, health education, and even routine visits from podiatrists, optometrists, and audiologists. The building is smoke-free, multi-floor, and has big windows and skylights, so the rooms are nice and bright, with large accessible bathrooms and spaces that can handle wheelchairs and walkers. Pets are welcome too, if they're small, and there are walking paths, enclosed gardens, patios, and two secure courtyards for outdoor time.

The community offers lots of chances for social life and activity, like arts and crafts, music, educational programs, gardening clubs, and holiday parties, and staff help set up ways for residents to use computers or social media so folks can stay in touch with their families. Move-in help and personalized care plans mean each resident gets support made for their own needs, whether it's memory care or just a little bit of help each day, and the staff keep an eye on everybody to make sure each person is safe and comfortable. Rent is all-inclusive, but Medicaid isn't accepted, and payment can be made by check, credit card, long-term care insurance, or Veterans Aid benefits. The Seasons of Saxonburg is a family-owned place, with close ties to the local community, where residents are encouraged to decorate their own rooms, stay as independent as possible, and take part in a warm, friendly, supportive home.
