    Clean, spacious, friendly; staffing concerns

I visited and was impressed overall: clean, well-kept (older) building with spacious rooms, terrific amenities - ice cream parlor, movie theater, library, beauty shop - good food and plenty of activities. Staff were friendly, caring and attentive and residents seemed engaged. Caveat: I heard some reports of staffing turnover and memory-care communication/quality issues, so confirm current staffing if that matters.

    About Woodbridge of Clinton

Woodbridge of Clinton has a long list of care services and amenities for older adults, with assisted living, independent living, and memory care all in one place, so people can find the right level of help for their needs, and the staff gets high marks for being friendly, attentive, and tidy, which seems to matter a lot when daily support is needed, like help with bathing, dressing, or medication, and there are always staff members around, day or night, to respond if needed, with an emergency call system set up in each unit for extra peace of mind. Residents can choose from private rooms, studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, and they get chef-prepared meals in a restaurant-style dining room that often serves southern food and can handle special diets, which is nice for those who have preferences or restrictions, and meals can be tailored, so there's something for everyone, while the menu planning keeps nutrition in mind. There are several common areas, such as lounges with classic decor, fireplaces, a piano, and a chapel, plus a movie theater and a library for relaxing or group activities, and the grounds include gardens with landscaped spots and a gazebo, making it easy to spend time outdoors.

Memory care services are tailored for those with Alzheimer's or other dementias, with secure areas and trained staff who know how to respond gently when residents need structure or reminders, and alert systems on doors add another layer of safety, while daily schedules offer things like craft projects, group games, and walks outside. There's a full calendar with social outings, art, fitness, group games, and educational seminars, with the idea that people stay engaged socially, mentally, and physically, and residents can keep busy with painting, drawing, or wellness classes-there's even a fitness center, exercise classes, and regular health screenings and checkups on site, so individual well-being gets ongoing attention. Services like weekly housekeeping, laundry, transportation to appointments or outings, maintenance, and even cable, internet, and utilities all come as part of an all-inclusive pricing model, which means the cost covers increased needs as they come up without added fees, and the non-profit status shows the focus is on service, not earnings. There are support options for veterans and those with long-term care insurance, and the fee structure starts with a $750 entry fee. Residents have access to beauty and barber services, an ice cream parlor, a spa area, a resident lounge, and pet-friendly policies, so there's some comfort and normalcy. Pets are welcome, and people can get support with chores, cooking, or staying organized, thanks to helpful team members who also provide reminders and medication help to keep everyone on track.

There's also respite care for those who need a short-term stay, and people can move between levels of care if their needs change, so families don't have to worry about finding a new place later on. The community offers scheduled transportation for appointments or social trips, keeps Wi-Fi available throughout, and has a secure, welcoming feeling overall, where residents have their privacy but help nearby if things get tricky. Woodbridge of Clinton isn't flashy, but it focuses on comfort, reliability, and making daily life manageable and pleasant, with a steady team that's known for being helpful, joyful, and kind, which makes all the difference in the long run. License number is CRC0732.
