    Clean, caring, but staffing issues

I placed my mother here and overall I'm glad I did - the building is clean, bright and home-like, the staff are warm, attentive and run great activities (memory care especially strong), and transportation/therapy support is helpful. Biggest negatives have been chronic understaffing, medication-management errors/late meds and limited food variety since ownership changes. Management and the director have been responsive and things have improved; my mother is happier and I have more peace of mind, but I'd recommend visiting often and confirming medication/ staffing practices before committing.

    About Oakview Park

Oakview Park sits at 110 Hood Rd in Greenville, right in the Powdersville area, and it brings together several types of senior care so folks can find assisted living, memory care, respite care, nursing home care, and independent living under one roof, which is pretty helpful when needs change. The place helps schedule tours and even offers virtual visits so people can get to know things ahead of time. Oakview Park has a fitness center and a salon/barbershop, along with a dining room where residents get dietitian-approved meals, and residents can get housekeeping, laundry, and cable TV in their rooms. The apartments and shared spaces have safety features like sprinklers and accessible bathrooms, plus kitchens or kitchenettes, washers, and dryers in the units for daily convenience. The community has WiFi, guest parking, game and activity rooms, and outdoor areas for fresh air, with spacious, thoughtfully-designed floor plans, and some smart features like Alexa reminders for safety and communication.

Getting around is easier since Oakview Park has transportation services. For those who need help with daily things like bathing, dressing, or taking medicine, there are personal care assistants, and skilled care is available from nurses and home health aides for things like medication support, wound care, and therapies, along with podiatry services. Pets can live here, too. The staff, called associates, are present around the clock, and they focus on resident-centered care that helps folks stay as independent as possible while still being safe. The memory care neighborhood is secure and structured to help seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia-there are specialized programs for cognitive engagement and socialization. People can take part in many activities: social outings, arts and crafts, devotionals, fitness programs, and games; the community even has signature programs meant for residents' needs. Oakview Park supports long-term care insurance, and there's respite care for short-term stays.

The facility is built with both shared spaces, like lobby and dining areas, and private apartments or residential care homes for different levels of need, and there are outdoor signs and community areas to help everyone get around. Spiritual support comes from onsite devotional services, and there are many social, educational, and wellness programs, plus a unique dining program that encourages friendship around the table. The setting is safe, clean, and organized to make life comfortable, with the aim to enrich well-being and keep people connected, active, and cared for. Oakview Park has a rating of 4.5 from 61 reviews, and it stays focused on making things better for seniors every day by offering a simple way to live with support when needed.
