    Gorgeous facility, welcoming staff, caveats

I toured The Blake and was impressed - gorgeous, new facility with bright, spacious apartments, elegant common spaces, restaurant-style dining and a full calendar of activities. Staff were warm, helpful and professional; on-site therapy and the care team were reassuring. Caveat: I observed uneven responsiveness, occasional short-staffing and billing hiccups, limited skilled-nursing capability, and some reported safety/oversight incidents - I recommend asking administrators about staffing, security and follow-up. Overall, a welcoming, high-end community that's worth visiting in person.

About The Blake at Hollingsworth Park

The Blake at Hollingsworth Park is managed by Blake Management Group and sits in a well-kept two-story building with plenty going on for residents looking for a good balance of care and activity, with options for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. There's a variety of spaces to use, including a movie room, activity rooms, card-playing room, salon, computer room, and several gathering spots where people come together for games or live music, and you'll often see residents joining fitness classes or enjoying community outings. There's a dedicated physical therapy clinic right on site that helps folks with rehab and wellness, and nursing staff are available around the clock for those who need more support, such as medication management or help with daily tasks, and the building has security and monitoring technology especially in its assisted living and memory care areas. The community has private Memory Care suites and units of one or two bedrooms, with designs that consider both safety and comfort, and residents have access to secluded courtyards and well-maintained grounds where the staff put effort into landscaping and holiday decorations. You'll find housekeeping services happening both daily and weekly, and there's laundry help and a concierge service that arranges transportation and keeps families updated about residents' care. Meals come from a chef and are served restaurant-style, but snacks and homemade choices are always set out as well, and the food usually earns good marks from residents and visitors. Folks with pets can bring them, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. The staff, from caregivers to hospitality and management, get praised for being attentive, helpful, and keeping the place clean, and many people say the community feels friendly and inviting, probably because the management is both responsive and personable. The Blake at Hollingsworth Park offers tailored wellness programs for both assisted living and memory care, and each resident has access to strong support for mobility issues, diabetes, and incontinence as needed. Activities change daily and often include entertainment or opportunities to get out and about, with transportation scheduled for errands and appointments. The place is known for keeping both the environment and the residents' spirits in good shape, offering the kind of day-to-day structure, care, and comfort a person might look for when wanting to feel at home while needing a little help.
