    About Reid House

Reid House sits about five miles off I-85 in Wellford, South Carolina, and has cared for seniors since 1975 with a strong focus on Christian values, really trying to offer a caring "home away from home" feeling for all who walk in. Residents find private studio, one-bedroom, semi-private, and two-bedroom units, all furnished for comfort and outfitted with phones and an emergency alert system, which gives everyone a little more peace of mind, and the care options cover assisted living, memory care, home care, non-ambulatory care, diabetic care, and incontinence help, so folks get support matched to what they need. There's help with things like bathing, dressing, transfers, medication, and daily living tasks, with staff around 24 hours a day, and there's always someone to help if there's an emergency or a move from bed to wheelchair is needed, or if medication needs to be managed, or insulin monitored.

The dining area serves up home cooked and restaurant-style meals all day, and the kitchen team can handle diets for diabetes, allergies, and other needs, making every meal as simple and healthy as possible, and the housekeepers keep rooms clean and the laundry done, which includes dry cleaning if that's needed. The activity calendar is pretty full, with devotional programs, on and off-site activities, resident-run events, exercise classes, walking paths, arts and crafts in the dedicated room, movie nights, and more, and there's a library for folks who like a quiet read and a full-service salon and barber on-site. Folks needing a break or short-term stay can get respite care here, and there's professional support coordinating every move-in. Payment is possible through private pay, commercial insurance, social security, and veteran's benefits, so families have choices when figuring out costs, and care fees are structured depending on what each resident needs.

Reid House has done its best for over 30 years to provide trustworthy, loving care, staying guided by faith and the values of kindness and honesty, keeping common areas open for socializing, planning activities to help people stay engaged and healthy, and always focusing on service with respect for each resident's dignity and independence.
