    Clean community, safe, administrative issues

I placed my loved one here and overall I'm pleased: the community is clean, quiet, well-maintained, and offers activities (bingo, church services, community room) where residents gather to watch TV and play cards. The open-plan efficiency apartment is lovely - one big room with a kitchenette and private restroom so they can prepare their own meals. My biggest issues are administrative: office and maintenance seem understaffed and overwhelmed (maintenance staff themselves were excellent), dog policy was confusing, and we had pricing/deposit/refund headaches plus locked doors/cameras and you must make appointments to see staff. Despite that, residents are treated with dignity, it feels safe, and my loved one is happy here.

    About North Cleveland Towers

North Cleveland Towers stands at the edge of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and offers senior apartments to people ages 62 and up, with most residents qualifying for government subsidies because it's low-income housing, and you'll find the place has a big brick building with 113 apartments that were built in 1974, and they come in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans, some of them even sit on the ground floor with roll-in showers for easier access, and some are wheelchair-friendly, too, which helps folks get around. Staff make sure the residents can get help with laundry, housekeeping, and transportation, and they provide assistance for taking medications and checking blood sugar, so elders can relax a little and not worry so much about chores or missing a dose, and there are call buttons in the apartments in case an emergency comes up.

There are shared indoor and outdoor spaces so neighbors can spend time together, whether it's playing games in the activities room, walking inside on the track, or sitting outside in the garden courtyard, and if somebody wants to get a haircut, there's a hair and nail salon, plus a library for reading, exercise and craft rooms for group projects, and off-street parking or guest parking for visitors. Meals are served in a dining room with staff providing meal options and dining services, and with maintenance-free living, folks won't be shoveling snow or mowing lawns, and if anything breaks, maintenance will handle repairs. There's a fitness center to keep active, washers and dryers for residents, and Wi-Fi throughout the building. The building also uses a sprinkler system, security cameras, and locked doors to help keep everyone safe, and if someone needs spiritual support, there are devotional services on site.

North Cleveland Towers has a team that includes occupational and physical therapists, plus speech and language pathologists who visit regularly, while medical professionals come throughout for ambulatory care, medication help, and things like checking blood sugar, and there's transportation service at reasonable rates to get to appointments or go out in the community. Folks can join in on arts and crafts, health and wellness programs, educational opportunities, and social activities which help people meet new friends and keep busy, and residents' caregivers are welcome to be involved, too. Housekeeping comes in as part of the room amenities, plus every apartment has either a kitchen or kitchenette, safety features like handrails, and maintenance to keep things in order, and cable TV is provided in the living spaces.

For those who need extra support, the building offers independent living services, assisted living, memory care for Alzheimer's and dementia, residential care, nursing home options, and skilled nursing, and there's home care for people who want non-medical help at home. The senior apartments let people pick from different layouts and personalize suites so residents can feel at home. North Cleveland Towers is considered a strong choice in the area, ranking 4th out of 11 in Cleveland and 103rd out of 701 senior housing communities in Tennessee, with a 4.5-star rating and community score of 9.3 out of 10 from reviews, and nearby places like The Courtyard at Deer Ridge and Summit Towers are other options locals compare it to, but at North Cleveland Towers, residents get a safe, social, and accessible home where they can enjoy everything from concerts at Lee University to trips to nearby parks, restaurants, and the public library.
