    Clean affordable homey assisted living

I moved my parent into this 14-room, single-floor home and have been very pleased - it's clean, well-kept and homey with professional, attentive staff (owners very hands-on, doctor on-site) and 24-hour care that gave me real peace of mind. Rooms are basic studios (some lack private showers and use a shared hallway shower), personalization is allowed, meals are good if not fancy, and activities are modest but engaging (crafts, piano, sunroom, outings when allowed). It's affordable (move-in $2,900, about $800/month) and feels like a close-knit family setting. That said, there are mixed reports about occasional understaffing, communication lapses and cleanliness issues, so I recommend an in-person visit.

    About Fairfield Glade Assisted Living

Fairfield Glade Assisted Living sits in the quiet rolling hills of Crossville, Tennessee, managed by Purple Door, LLC, and provides a peaceful place for seniors who need some help but want to keep their independence as much as possible, and you'll find that the community has a friendly, home-like feel, with staff who get to know each resident and often form close friendships, which helps create a warm, family-style atmosphere for whoever chooses to stay. The facility offers assisted living, memory care, nursing home care, and independent living, so people can get as much or as little help as they need, and all types of care come with well-trained and caring staff who put residents' well-being first, with tailored support that changes when your needs change, and they always have a nurse and doctor on call for health concerns.

Residents have private bedrooms with space for privacy and relaxation, and they can enjoy a main dining room for meals, along with an activity-filled great room for games, social events, and entertainment. The community welcomes both men and women, and pets are allowed, which helps people feel more at home. There are indoor and outdoor areas to visit, including lush green outdoor spaces where residents can enjoy good weather or just sit and talk with friends or family visiting for the afternoon, and the staff encourage everyone to build connections with each other through group activities and shared spaces.

Fairfield Glade Assisted Living offers different services such as respite care, hospice care, therapy services like physical, speech, and occupational therapy, and help with daily activities, such as getting dressed or bathing, without ever taking away someone's privacy or independence unless truly needed. There's also complimentary transportation for trips to appointments or outings, and the community provides regular meals as well as snacks to keep everyone well fed. For those who like to keep busy, there are activities both onsite and offsite, including devotional services, as well as beauty and barber services for residents who want to keep up with their usual routines.

The showers are wheelchair accessible, and there's room for personal vehicles if you or your family like to drive in for a visit. The main focus here is on making sure each resident has dignity, feels safe, and gets to know others in a comfortable, small setting. Caregivers are steady and familiar faces, always working to promote a sense of belonging and friendship, and the peaceful neighborhood helps keep things quiet and restful, so people can spend their time how they want-whether that's with others or in private. Staff communicate openly with residents and families and do their best to answer questions or address any concerns about care options. This assisted living community aims to provide not only the practical help seniors need but also the comfort and sense of friendship that helps everyone feel at home for as long as they need.
